#316 - Gushing!

Well I completed my class on Friday... it was the first time I taught this one. I even had to deal with a fire alarm that put us behind and I still managed to get through all the material! The best part was the reviews... someone said that out of 3 instructors at the college I was the best one! Wow what a way to end the week... I guess they didn't notice that it was the first time I have gone through this course. Needless to say I am really starting to love this job too! I also had some other great comments, but this one will stick with me for a while... that and the one that said I was dull! (To this day I still laugh about that one!)

Today was a nice day at home... the five of us in the same place at the same time. It was really nice.

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- wind... man it has been bad lately
- the lack of rain... it doesn't look much like fall, more like things are dying. We really need some raid.

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- when I do a good job and people actually are able to learn something from me
- finally finding my 'happy place'. I should have left my old career years ago... money sure isn't everything that's for sure (although it is nice to buy stuff!:) )

KIDDO NOTES
I am so enjoying the 4th year... the boys are just wonderful to be around and they are learning so much. So far 2 four year olds has been about the easiest time to have twins. I am so dreading them heading off to school I love having them around.

Oh yes and Baby Golem was back for a visit tonight. We were getting the boys ready for bead then all of a sudden I noticed Baby 'circling' my hubby. She was on her feet and hands again going around and around saying "My Precious". The hubbs and I almost fell over we were laughing so hard! What a kid!

Good Night... better get some sleep I have to work tomorrow ....

#315 - Golem and other 'stuff'

This is a great post on recovering from infertility, it's from Jamie over at Sticky Feet! I love it when other people can organize my thoughts and make them all make sense for me!

We all got through a different journey but it never ceases to amaze me how similar the emotional side of the journey is.

So if you are still in the trenches.... hang in there.

Today was a teaching day. A new course and I am really having fun with this one. It's cool to be able to explain database normalization to NON-Systems people and they actually "GOT IT". It's nice to work with a group that is actually in the right class and are advanced enough that the basics are fairly easy for them to follow. Unfortunately I am behind where I wanted to be... but am hoping to catch up tomorrow! :)

Tonight I am watching the Season Premier of Grey's Anatomy... Apparently I missed the final episode of the last season (PVR issues). So what the heck... George, they killed George... rotten writers! The first time in MONTHS that I am NOT watching Treehouse and they freaking kill George! What the heck is that all about?

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- back to the morning thing... 5:30am sucks!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- Boy hugs and Girl Kisses

KIDDO NOTES

You know that dude Golem from Lord on the Rings... the creepy-ish looking dude that walks around all crouched over. Well this dude has a sister and She is living in my house. Let me explain!

The other night my sweet girl was 'walking around' on her feet and hands, kind of crouched over. A buddy was over and said "Look Golem lives here". So what do any good Parents do? Well teach little Golem girl how to say "My Precious" of course!

So tonight, after the lights were turned off for bed... my little Golem was creeping around the bedroom repeating "My Precious"! Really I must get this on video! :)

Boy2 was also providing entertainment for us at the supper table. All three kids were chatting! Three different conversations all wanting answers... it was a little nutty! Finally Boy2 pipes up and says "Mom I can't help myself, I am talking and I can't stop". Out of the mouths of babes! :)

So goodnight... my precious.... es! :)

#309 - I made it through the weekend...

I am happy that I made it through my first class and a crazy weekend at work. It was a 3 day work week for me! I can't believe how tired I am after only 3 days!

Well I suppose it's usually because I start my day at 8am... but for teaching I start my days at 5:30am (man I don't miss working at my old job where that was the normal time to get up). I usually get home around 5pm so that's not too bad, but on Friday I had to work at my other job so I didn't get home until 10:30pm. Then I had to be up early on Saturday for a mega sale at my other job. IT was insane all day. I came home and fell asleep in the chair after supper. (Well sort of, hubby decided it was ok for the kids to keep trying to wake me up... Arce! I always tell them to leave their father alone if he doses off, you think he could extend me the same courtesy.) Well I did head to bed when the kids did so I got some extra sleep anyway.

Today I finally finished my course that I was developing! Now it's just review and checking time! I am so glad I am on the down swing of this class. It seems like it took me forever, even though it didn't! I just have so much to do I want to get on with it I suppose!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- early mornings
- talking alllll day and having to listen to myself!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- weird work hours that let me spend more time with my kids then if I was working out of the house all the time.

KIDDO NOTES
I was sad that on Friday I was gone before the kids got up and didn't get home until after they went to bed. It's not very often that I don't see them during the day... and I don't like it at all!

Boy1 is still happily pooping in the potty... thank god for my iphone!
Boy2 likes to lean over when he tinkles... he peed in his face this weekend! He has some serious compression
Baby still wants everything her way. Tonight she kicked over a little log house that Boy1 built to get the car she wanted out of it. She looked around to make sure he wasn't watching and poof with the foot over it went, then the sly little smile appeared. She grabbed her car and took off. But not before I gave her heck! What a turkey, she knew she was being bad but did it anyway!

And off to bed I go... good night

#286 - Finally!

We finally got into the pool today! It was finally hot enough outside (well too hot), but enough to get the pool warm enough to get into. I really would like to get a solar heater for the pool though as I like it really warm! OK so I don't like it really warm outside but I like it really warm in the pool? OK I am messed up, according to my hubby! (Just like I like the temp of the house about 25 in the winter and that's too hot in the summer... go figure!)

The hubby was even in the pool today. (He's not much of a water guy) He said now we are living the life! HA HA it's a 12' pool 36" deep. Yup definitely high style! HA HA At least it keeps us cool!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- needing a hair cut
- cutting my bangs (hairdresser is going to have a bird) and not doing such a great job! Oh well at least they are out of my eyes now! I didn't touch the rest of my head, but I was tempted. Hubby asked me if I used scissors or a knife. Remind me to make him some chocolate cookies with ex-lax! :)

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- finally having a pool to swim in, well cool off in. A little to small to swim laps, circles maybe?

KIDDO NOTES
Kids were good today. They really liked the pool. Boy1 is like mom, Mr. Freezy. He didn't want to get out and he was shivering away.

Boy1 was is always 'swimming' in the bathtub so we figured he would be the brave one in the pool. NOT! Boy2 was more willing to try things. I don't get it? Just when you think you have the little buggers figured out they change it up!

Ahh and then there is Baby. She was not happy when she got in, but either was I, it's cold at first! She has this thing about walking on 'stuff' other than the usual floor and carpet. She doesn't even like to stand on the ceramic tile in the bathroom. Well there was no stinking way I could get her to put her feet on the bottom of the pool at first. She was floating on her belly and kicking away. She was having a great time. After some coaxing I managed to get her to put her feet on the bottom and walk around. Then she liked that! Toys to play with too! After I had her on her belly she wanted to do it again, but being Miss Independent she wanted to do it herself. She was holding on to the side and sticking her legs out. She comes up will all sorts of original ideas that continually amaze me!

(I just like the pool because I can sit on the bottom and cool off when the kids play! Although I am a bit obsessed with the skimmer. I like to keep the water clean-ish! :)

Yet another day to put in the memory vault as a great day. (It really enforces in my mind how much infertility SUCKS!)

Good Night...

#259 - Something is wrong?

KIDDO UPDATES

Ok so my boys spent 2 hours vacuuming the basement today, something must be terribly wrong. Actually Boy1 spent even longer than Boy 2 (apparently Boy 2 is the smarter one! :) ) I think they actually do a better job than I do? I even took one of the extensions out to make it easier for Boy1 to use the power head on the carpet. Please someone explain to them that vacuuming is actually NOT fun (but wait until they move out please!)

It just goes to prove I do have weird kids!

Where do they get this stuff from? I certainly didn't teach them how to vacuum (apparently since they do a better job!). Hmmm do you think I can teach them to clean the toilets next? :)

p.s. It looks like I have a relative that is going to come out and watch the kids for a couple of hours on Saturday so hubby and I can get some stuff done. (She has 3 kids, the oldest is graduating from High School this year, I think she knows what we are up against)

#246 - So much to say...

OK so much to bitch about is really what I should have titled this post!

- Monday it snowed... hello mother nature it is SPRING here not winter? Or did I fall asleep for to long? What a lovely day for the end of a Long Weekend. This traditionally is the first major camping weekend in these parts, there was a fire ban due to the fires we have been having AND it was snowing! LOVELY!

- I am teaching today and tomorrow, so my rotten arce mother called at 8:30pm on Monday night to let me know that she won't be able to come on Tuesday because... wait for it... my DAD is sick. He has flu like symptoms so she had decided that it has to be the swine flu because she looked it up on the internet! Hmm the last time we were in Mexico I was 11 years old, that is some kind of long incubation period! (Oh and Dad isn't allowed to do anything but work and no one at work has even been sick, so I am thinking that it is probably due to the effing migrane that he had on Sunday night?

- Once again my mother cannot help out tomorrow... because my Dad is sick and she can't leave him home alone for a few hours (did I mention that my husband would be home at 11am to relieve her of her duties anyway?) The man is sick, I am thinking that he won't be out of bed until about noon anyway? She is just to effing lazy to drive out here... it is at most 20 minutes from their house. I am impressed by the fact that my mother has more excuses than I ever thought was possible, just when I thought she couldn't possibly top the last one she comes up with another one!

- My search for an actual babysitter is totally sucking right now... I need to find one before September as Grandma is useless and I would rather not see her in the morning not to mention EVER! Why the heck can't people just be happy instead of being miserable just for the sake of being miserable?

- I got an email message on my phone from my other job. The 'weekend' gals all go together and 'filled' in the weekend schedule for June. (The gal who is doing the 'fill' in scheduling SUCKS! So under the direction of one of the owners we decided to fill in and see what works for all of us. The 'fill' in scheduler has been asked several times to switch between Saturdays and Sundays. So for the last 2 months I only work Saturdays... it was starting to piss me off to say the least). Well today I checked my voice mail on my cell phone and guess what. Fill in girl said she changed it as I (it should have been 'we'... it wasn't a solo job here) miss a whole bunch of people (that would be her (who only works one Sunday a month) and one of the owners, who doesn't want to work every weekend anyway!) Needless to say I didn't talk to her I phoned the other Owner and mentioned what we had done under the direction of the other owner. She was quite happy that we had done this and said if 'fill' in girl has an issue she will straighten it out with her! I guess I am ruffling feathers and I am not even trying. It has been my experience over the years that folks that don't like to work hard dislike those who are hard workers anyway! So whatever girly, when you want to pick a fight you better pick on someone who hasn't been around the business world almost 20 years more than you have! (frig now I feel old too! :) )

- Where do you sit when you attend a class? Why is it that the most annoying people always go to the back? Never do they sit at the front (at least not in my classes). I usually sit near the front (I guess that means I am a keener?). It drives me crazy when people 'gab' when I am talking then they don't have an effing clue what we are doing. If you would shut your trap and listen MAYBE then you know what we are doing. When others are talking I usually STOP and wait until it's quiet, If they don't get a 'clue' then I ask if they have a question. Two of the gals at the back are having issues following and one of them doesn't want my help, she told me it makes her nervous. She wants help from her friend sitting beside her that doesn't have a clue what she is doing. *insert me going cross eyed!*

*this is where I let out a big sigh after getting that all out*

So to end with the GOOD STUFF!

Hubby finished the mudding(as in drywall mud), sanding, and cleaning up the storage room in the basement on Monday (two days off together in a row it was a treat!). He did this while I played with the kids... umm that is fell asleep on the couch in the same room as the kids! (I was really tired after all the outdoor work on Sunday!)

Hubby went into work really really early this morning got in 4hrs of work and was home in time for me to head off to my job. THEN he managed to get two coats of primer on the walls in the storage room (while all 3 kids played quietly for him??? I am so jealous!). I got home, he had supper started, then after supper he headed back to work so he could get in 7 or 8 hours and get home in time to have a little sleep before the kids get up in the morning. Am I lucky or what? (disclaimer, yup he still can be an acre too he ain't perfect! LOL) I really don't know how he does it. I told him not to get too tired and if he had to leave early he should do so as I don't want him driving in a fog! (I am not sure that he ever listens to me anyway!)

One more coat of paint and we will be ready to build the shelves in the storage room and start putting all the 'crap', errm, I mean stuff back in there! The shelves will probably take a while, my husband it a bit weird with the cut/measure thing, last time he made me shelves they fit perfectly in the closet. I am not even sure that he had to nail them in! :) Hubby figures the new storage room is around 100 sq feet so any extra junk that I have should be put in the garage sale I figure! (Actually most of that 'stuff' should probably be cleaned out. I am really trying to clean out and I have done pretty well so far... I just have to keep trying!) Man if someone told me 20 years ago that someday I would be excited about a storage room I would have laughed my butt off! How things change?

I also made use of some of my Holiday Monday time, when I wasn't napping that is, to do some more organizing in my scrapbooking stuff! I think I may actually have everything about where it is going to stay (for now anyway!). I had paper in so many places and I was keeping all these teeny tiny little pieces so I thought it was time to clean out! I recycled most of the tiny pieces, I filed away the bigger ones, that were actually useful, by colour in my 'bits' folders. Now all my paper is in the same place, and let me tell you do I have paper! The good thing is that I use it. I have completed close to 100 pages since the beginning of March. I am getting much better at using things up. I used to save things I liked for another day 'just in case'. Now I just use it because I have a few buckets of bits of stuff I never used because I was just saving it for who the heck knows what!

Once I am caught up to the end of December in my daughters book it is off to work on my son's books and get them caught up as well. That will probably take me a little longer. I have a bit of an organization mess to deal with as I didn't quite finish things off the way I like to before we moved in one of the Boys books so I Imagine that will be a bit of a challenge! I will let you know how that goes! :) This will probably be PROJECT DRIVE MYSELF CRAZY! Some day I will be caught up! That is my hope anyway!

My hubby thinks he is quite funny, usually when I go off to work the kids come to the window and wave. Well I leave before they get up in the morning so I look in the front window and there hubby is kneeling in the window waving! What a great way to start the day with a good old belly laugh!

So have you ever had toys go missing and wonder where the heck they went? Well hubby found out today. When I got home he had a photo on his cell phone to show me. He told me he pulled some toys out of the couch. I was kind of looking at him like he was nuts, I said "I know, I do it all the time". He said NO you don't! Then he showed me the photo. Half the couch was covered with toys. Stuff that had disappear a while ago and we couldn't find. So apparently our couch EATS toys? Hubby said that he was almost up to his shoulder pulling stuff out from under the sides of the couch! I usually just pull the cushions off and take what I can see. I so would never stick my arm way in there who knows what yucky things are lurking down there! LOL! Later that evening he told me he thought we needed to give the couch a c-section (only a man would say this!) and put a slit in the bottom as he figured there was more stuff hiding in there! Hmmph and I thought it was only the dryer that 'ate' stuff!

Good night!

(p.s. I am also excited that I didn't have to do any prep work for this course! YAY! What a nice change!)

#233 - Coasting

Well today I kept myself busy. I finally found the counter under the junk in the kitchen (this is what happens when I work too much, hubby hides the counter with crap! LOL). It sure felt good to get it cleaned up. So what does hubby do when he gets home? No he didn't say 'nice honey' or 'thank you'. He made a 'shocked' face and buggered off... that was it. That boy needs a lesson in being nice to his wife and while he is at it he should learn to say sorry. I think in 15 years I have heard him say it maybe twice... but that's another story.

I received my list of classes that I will be teaching in the new semester. Usually I teach Excel and Access, but this time no Excel. (It's kind of hard to get motivated to update my course that I am working on when I may not teach it again until possibly January. Ugg) Here's the kicker I told my babysitter, my b*tch of a mother that is, that I had one in July and 2 in September. She of course (without knowing the dates) told me that she is busy in July and they are going on vacation in September. EVERY single class she has some kind of excuse! I don't know how she manages to find so many different excuses. Then it will be dark in October so she won't be able to drive then and well November is snow so forget that too. Sure glad she likes to spend time with her grandkids. I have been looking for a real sitter but haven't had much luck so far!

Every time I talk to that woman I just want to throw up. I really need to find a new sitter!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- you guessed it My mother
- the horrible scheduling at the college I teach at
- when my husband is an @ss!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- having some time to clean up the house and do laundry

KIDDO NOTES
Well it was a pretty good day around here today. Not too much whining (phew!). This afternoon the boys and I went down to the basement (aka scrapbooking room). I gave them stickers and a sticker book as well as some drawing materials. They sat beside me while I 'played' with my Cricut and did their thing. Boy#1 told his dad that he had his 'scrapbooking' stuff and he was putting it away! It was fun to sit with them and have them do their own thing! They love stickers, they must have played for an hour, no fighting and only one teeny whine incident!

Baby is Boy#1's shadow these days. She follows him around and repeats everything he says. I think she is Boy#1's Mini Me! LOL Boy#1 is enjoying it as he tells her what to do and how to pronounce words. Finally someone who will actually listen to him!

Today was a good day and I loooove those. (I am ignoring the hubby being a jerk to me tonight since the kids were such a joy today!)

Off I go to glue my glasses (I broke the frame and I have to wait until next week to get my eyes tested and get new glasses!) and go to bed

Good night

#199 - All messed up!

One freaking hour... I mean really. I am referring to time change. It is totally messing me up. It does this every time we have a change (before kids only the spring one affected me, but now it's both).

1) I am hungry after I eat as my stomach expects food at a certain time
2) My sleep patterns are all frigged up
3) I am a walking zombie most of the day - functioning normally is difficult these days
4) I can't fall asleep when I go to bed, waking up is difficult in the morning
5) My digestive system is all messed up, that includes my bowels.

All because of one stinking hour... wtf is wrong with me! Time change was 2 weeks ago for peat sakes! (It usually takes me about 3 months to fully recover, how messed up is that!) Sheesh!

Speaking of spring, we have over 2 feet of snow in our back yard (no kidding) and there is more forecast the next 2 days! Spring in my neck of the woods starts at the end of May as far as I am concerned. LOL! Good thing I like snow!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- see above
- my mother.... the one who never will 'babysit' for us. She had the nerve to call today to tell us that there wouldn't have been anything we would be interested in at the Home Show. The one that THEY needed to go to and the one that WE didn't need to go to. Sure call and RUB it in. Well guess what lady, I am not letting it bug me so go ahead be an ass!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- an afternoon nap when I really need one!
- getting more done on the system I am building for a client. I am getting closer to being done! Yey!

KIDDO NOTES
Hmm I wonder if a couple of my poor kids suffer from the same thing I do... time change grumpiness! LOL. Boy2 keeps getting woken up by Boy1 and he looks like he is not happy about it at all. He likes mornings about as much as I do I think!

Boy1 was up at 7:30am this morning, so I grabbed him and dragged him into my bed before he had everyone on the go. When I went to the washroom after I got out of bed Boy1 (my 'helper') proceeded to go and get Boy2 up, opened the door, turned on the light and turned the fan off in the room. Then he asked me to open Baby's door so HE could get her up too. What a monkey!

Well today Boy1 had his first Shower. He wanted to go in with Dad. So way they went, I wasn't sure if Hubby would get in with him as we aren't much for sharing our nakedness around here (I think this was the first time one of the kids has ever seen a grown-up naked.) Hubby gets out and is laughing. Apparently Boy1 noticed that dad had a "fuzzy willy". (That is what they call hair, fuzzies). Then he asked Dad if his "fuzzy willy" was New? So Dad told him that it wasn't new and that he would have a fuzzy one, one day too. Apparently he wasn't impressed! I thought my husband was going to pass out laughing about the New comment!

It was nice at bath time only 2 to clean up tonight, it felt like a vacation!

#195 - Internet connection Working Again!

Well my connection is up and running again today! Hope everyone had a great St. Pattie's day yesterday!

I am still having issues with my wireless connection 'dropping' every now and again, but they are supposed to be sending me a new modem so we will see what happens!

Since I missed yesterday due to my Internet woes I will update with my latest over the last two days!

Scrapbook related
-6 pages done (well almost done, the photos and embellishments are done, I just have to add my journaling!)
-Scrapbooking area almost cleaned up! Getting ready for my Saturday with friends scrapbooking!

Other stuff
-Storage room empty, shelving removed... demolition to start soon!
-I am in desperate need of some house cleaning!
-Started working on my contract work (finally, I was supposed to start on Monday!)

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- The fact that my hubby refuses to go into work later and instead we get to put up with his grumpiness due to tiredness
- being grumpy myself, the last two days I have been sooo tired, even with the extra sleep
- being at the start of a Reno project (I like being close to the end MUCH better!)
- listening to my mother tell me that they are going to the Home Renovation show, then telling me they need to go worse than we do. (I felt like saying f*ck off. She REFUSES to babysit for anything but when I teach. Four whole days is just too much of an inconvenience for her I guess! I really need to find a babysitter!)
- Watching Private Practice... I just can't deal with the infertility story lines. I am glad that TV is starting to add infertility to the main stream. Hopefully, even if it isn't totally realistic, it will bring some more info to the general public. (I think of Will and Grace... it seems to have assisted in making their issues more main stream???)

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- knowing that my storage room will be better, eventually!
- bed time

KIDDO NOTES
Well yesterday was interesting. I must say my kids do have an imagination. I told the boys we had to wear green so the leprechauns don't pinch them. Well they took it one step further. They were talking to them and 'chasing' them around the house. Boy2 even asked me to take the Leprechaun that he put in his milk out of the glass. I was afraid that they wouldn't go to bed last night as they would be afraid the Leprechauns would be under their bed, but luckily they were OK with them. I did tell them they only visit for one day a year and then they go home. I have a little decoration hanging on the wall, it has a Shamrock and a Leprechaun on it. The boys went and got the stool to climb up and kiss it! There was Leprechauns all over the place yesterday, in their trucks, swimming in their breakfast, hiding under the bed, etc. The funny thing is they just get an idea and way they go coming up with their own 'stuff'. Well at least I got them all dressed up in green for the St. Patties pic! Baby was just wandering around attempting to say Leprechaun all day! She was probably wondering what the heck the boys were doing! Did I mention my kids are weird? I think they take after their parents!

Today was yet another busy day. The kids were getting on my nerves for just the normal stuff. I was trying to hold my cool. I just need more sleep I think.

Well the Potty Training seems to have taken a step backward, so today I put real underwear on Boy2. He was none to impressed, at first! Well he played for a while, then I heard crying. He was standing in a puddle of Pee. Not happy, he wouldn't move until I cleaned him up. (Lovely!) So I got him a new pair (actually Boy1 went and got him a new pair) He had another Pee episode again, almost the same spot on the floor. He was not happy. So I went and got him Pair #3 of underwear. Well by this point I wasn't having much fun cleaning the floor. So what did I do? Put a pull-up over them! Well let me tell you the next time he had to PEE he RAN to the bathroom! I think he wasn't enjoying the wet leg thing! So I am going to try again tomorrow. Real underwear, then the pull up. (I am sure glad we have mostly laminate in the house and not carpet, that would be gross!) We will see how it goes tomorrow.

Baby has been really crabby (I think there is a crabby bug going around this house, I need to find the darn thing and stomp on it!). I am assuming it is her teeth. Although she is getting close to 2... God help me! :)

At night we sit in the chair. We put the boys to bed first, then baby and I rock. She can say the entire alphabet and count to 10 when she repeats after me. I am not sure if that is normal for a 20 month old or not, but I am a proud momma!

She is really getting into stuff. With disciplining the boys all day sometimes I just ignore her. I was trying to let a few things slide, but I think it's time she learned about NO meaning NO in this house. Great 3 of them screaming when they don't get their own way! Hang on it's going to be loud around here!

Off to bed I go... it's almost midnight!

Good Night

#191 - Friday? Where did the rest of the week go?

Wow I can't believe yet another week is gone. It's almost the middle of March, it felt like March just started.

Today was another work evening, nice to get out for a while. I don't find it much like work, even though I work hard when I am there. I guess it's just something different than the usual daily 'stuff' so it's fun. I did notice that when I got in it was pretty quiet today, sort of unfriendly I suppose. Apparently there had been some customer complaints. Instead of dealing with the folks where the issue is, the owner chooses to post a memo to all of the staff. So pretty much everyone feels like crap when we read it. Personally I think that it may be better to talk to the person or persons in question and possibly post a reminder about customer service in a positive light. I felt kind of crappy when I read it myself but I know that I do my best when I am there so I am not going to take it personally anyway.

The hubby is going out with a buddy tomorrow so I hope he has a good day, sans kiddos!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- sore feet!
- income tax time!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- getting my basement craft area cleaned up
- a good day at home

KIDDO NOTES
It was a pretty good day around here today! Not to much grumping or fighting over toys. (Of course there has to be some grumping or I would be worried! :)) Baby seems to still be bothered by her teeth, I hope they get a move on and finish growing for her very soon.

As for the potty training... it's not really moving ahead but we haven't moved backwards either so I can live with that. One day they will make up their own minds and decide that the 'big boy potty' is the way to go. If not I guess I will have to consider Home Schooling! :)

Speaking of potty's here's my 'funny' of the day. Well hubby went for groceries today. When he got home I was in the Living Room with the kids. For some reason he decided to give me the pack of toilet paper that he had purchased for my bathroom (I refuse to use the nasty recycled stuff that he buys... hello Lady parts are delicate and we use more T.P. than you boys do. That and who wants their fingers to 'break through' the T.P. either! Yuck!). Well anyway I wasn't sure why he didn't just take the T.P. to the bathroom, but whatever. So anyway I had used up the last square of T.P. in my bathroom earlier that day so I should have taken the new pack of 12 to the bathroom right away. As per usual I got side tracked and the T.P. stayed in the living room.

I suppose you can see where this is going. Well yes I was in the bathroom without any T.P. Hubby was busy outside so I couldn't call to get his attention. Well I decided to try to get one of the boys to help me out. Well I called and called, but their music was on in the Living Room so they didn't hear me. (Doesn't it just drive you crazy when you can hear them but they can't hear you). After what felt like an eternity I heard the whack of big feet on the floor (man these kids can make noise). I was almost cheering. It sounded like the boys, but they weren't answering, and they never shut up. So who pops her cute little head around the door, Baby. (I am thinking oh CRAP! This kid doesn't speak the same language as I do, this isn't going to go well!).

So I started off with... Baby get Boy1, please. So she stands at the bathroom door and calls out Boy1's name. Yeah that was helpful. So I was trying to convince her to go get Boy1 or Boy2. So she moves a little farther and calls out their names. They couldn't hear mean calling loudly, as if they are going to hear her saying their names in her normal voice. So then I decided to see if I showed her the empty roll of toilet paper that maybe she would go to the other bathroom and find some. Well Dad calls it Butt Wipe, so I was thinking that maybe she would know what that was. Nope. This poor kid is looking at me like I am nuts. So finally she totters off to the Living Room. Finds the boys and I hear this little 'butt wipe', then back she comes. Great short thing comes back, no brothers in tow. :) So then I show her the empty roll again and try to send her to the Potty Room. Off she goes again, butt wipe I hear, then she comes back again. Finally I think the boys were wondering what she was doing and decided to check it out.

I think I cheered out loud when the two monkeys showed up. I asked them to get the Butt Wipe out of the living room (I can thank the hubby for the creative name for the toilet paper). They kind of looked at me and I said in the green bag. I swear light bulbs went on. So off the 3 of them went. The boys came back, they were both carrying the pack of 12. They were so proud and by now baby was right in the bathroom just as happy! So I said thank you and we had high fives all around, even Baby. Then I kicked them out and finished my business! (And to think they usually all hang out at the door when I am in the bathroom!)

I suppose I will be hearing butt wipe from baby for the next 2 weeks! LOL

Good Night

#168 - Wooohooo

Shopping today! Nuff said!

Well it wasn't that exciting but I suppose it was for me. I had to go out to meet a fella regarding one of my contracts. The meeting went well (except the part where I have more work to do! :) ).

After the meeting I headed out shopping. Just me, it was bliss! I stopped at Micheal's craft store first! Yippee. I bought a new exacto knife... how exciting and some embroidery floss to make a bracelet or two in my spare time! Then it was off to the Dollarama. I was annoyed to see that they now have $2 items! LOL! I love to walk around in there just for fun. I picked up a few little things for the kids for Easter. Then it was off to The Childrens Place. I still feel so weird about the fact that I can actually shop in these stores, and now on both sides! Who would have ever thought? I was happy to come out of there spending only $54 and getting a full bag of stuff. I even managed to score a winter coat for next year for baby for $9.99 - regular $54.99! Sweet! Everything else was $5.99 or less! It was so fun!

It was another one of those days, the ones where you just sit back and say wow I am so lucky! I have my family, we are all healthy, and happy. What a difference a few years makes. It feels good to be truly happy inside, it makes me realize just how sad I was when we were dealing with infertility. I really never realized the full impact of having children. Yes it's a lot of work, yes it crazy at times, yes it can be beyond frustrating, but there sure is heck isn't any feeling as good as loving a child.

I am still preparing for my course on Thursday and Friday, but I am almost there... then I have to finish of the next one! No rest for the wicked that's for sure!

It is going to be crazy though. I teach Thursday, Friday. Then I work at my other job Friday night and all day Saturday. Gee it's almost like have a full time job again! :) I am a little sad though as I will not see the kiddos all day Friday. That will drive me crazy!

KIDDO NOTES

Well the kids were pretty good today. I love these days, can you tell?

Boy1 is quite the thinker I have decided. We went downstairs this morning as per usual. I keep a bag of goldfish down there for them to snack on. Well today I was in the middle of something so I asked them to get their bowls and the gold fish. Well the boys couldn't reach the bag. I said I would be a minute and get it for them. I could see Boy1's wheels a turning so I decided to wait for a bit and see how his problem solving skills were developing. Well he looked around at a few things then headed to the toy box. You could almost see the light bulb go on above his head, he grabbed a small hockey stick. He then proceeded to work the bag over until he could reach it. It was so funny to watch him, I was impressed at his ingenuity. Maybe we will need that college money we are putting aside for him after all! :)

Boy2 looked at the bag, said he couldn't reach it and moved on to other things. He wasn't interested at all until Boy1 reached the bag! Hopefully he learned a thing or two from his brother today.

After bath's tonight I proceeded to clean out the outside of Baby's ears. She is like the gucky ear stuff collector. She totally hates having her ears cleaned, but I hate when they are all icky. Later Boy2 said his ears needed cleaning too as they had "boogers" in them. His father was out of the room when he came back I told Boy2 to tell his dad what he had in his ears! Hubby thought it was quite funny!

We are still doing well on the Liquids around here, but if anyone can tell me how to get the solids into the potty instead of their pants please let me know! :)

Good night!

#153 - Prep Time and Playdough!

So much for our weekend day together.  I spent most of my time Prepping for my next course!  I am scheduled to teach Excel Level I in a few weeks so I need to get my butt in gear and make sure I am ready.  I like to be ultra prepared to make sure that everything is ready to go and I don't have to do to much extra 'thinking' on the fly.  Thinking on the fly is not one of my strong points, I would much prefer to have everything laid out.  Then I just have to react to questions and not worry about the rest!  I imagine after I have been doing this for a while I won't need so much time to get ready.  Until then it's definitely worth my while.

No scrapbooking today!  bummer!  I must admit I did have a little nap this afternoon.  I was really tired for some reason, A couple hours of using my brain seems to really get me tired these days! ha ha!

Oh yes I crashed Vista today - blue screen of death!  Sheesh I bet I have less than 40 hours using vista and kaboom!  All I was doing was looking at the help screen in excel!  I am sooo good at crashing all sorts of 'stuff'.  (Our wireless keyboard at work doesn't like me too much either!  It must be my magnetic personality <insert me laughing my arce off here!>)

Mom update - still haven't heard from her.  Not that I am complaining (except for the part where I cringe when the phone rings).  I must be in big trouble.  I think the hubbs is going to have to take a day off work so I can teach in February.  (Great she is coming to the scrapbooking retreat at the end of Feb.  ugg!)

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- How quickly time flies by!
- Potty training

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- I am almost half way through my Prep for my first course (I need to do 2 before the middle of February!)
- I found out they have wireless where I am going for my scrapbooking weekend

KIDDO NOTES

Well it was playdough day today (note to self do this when hubby is not around, he can't handle a mess?  I wonder if his mother ever let him do anything fun?).  I was trying to keep the kids amused while I worked on my class prep so I got out the playdough.  It's not something we do a lot so they really enjoy it.  (Hubby thinks this is an outdoor activity... whatever!) I put Baby in her high chair and gave her some playdough toys and then I squished some playdough through one of those spagetti maker thingys.  Well that kid is quick.  I popped the playdough spagetti off and wammo she grabbed a piece and put it in her mouth.  I got some of it, but I guess it wasn't to tasty as she spit the rest out.  She had a totally disgusted look on her face, as if it was ALL my fault!  :)  After that I didn't have to worry about her putting it in her mouth!  She didn't really like the feel of it so she just played with the tools for awhile instead.

The boys had a blast.  They played until lunch.  They sat there for an hour and a half and went crazy with playdough.  I couldn't believe at how little of a mess they made.  There wasn't even much to clean up off the floor after they were done (I think hubby may have been cleaning up as they went, a little anal I would say.  Although I should talk, miss floor washer!)

After lunch they were back to their 'fire' building in the play kitchen.  I hope they grow out of this phase before they are teenagers, we have a lot of trees on our property!

Baby is into hugs right now and I am looooving every minute of it.  I even managed to get her to sit with me for a while when she was looking at her shelf of stuffed toys.  She is a mover now so it's nice when you can get her to sit for 5 minutes!  I wish I could freeze time for a while, she is growing so very fast.

Good night

#141 - Hello ICLW'ers!

Welcome to those visiting from ICLW!

A little about me, the short version.  Married 14 years, took us 11.5 years, IVF and 3 transfers to get PG the first time.  We were lucky enough to have twins.  Right from the moment I saw them I knew I wanted to have more.  A couple more frozen transfers and another round of IVF and we were PG with twins again.   Sadly shortly after seeing the heartbeat of our two babies we lost one, we did manage to go on and have one healthy little girl.  We still have some frozen embies, but the hubby says we are done.  I quit my career to stay home with the kids and I am currently working way to many part time jobs (got to pay for the IVF bills right?)  So this is my life after years of infertility.  I am still trying to figure out who I am, hanging out with all the fertile people who have kids.

With three kids 3 and under I just take it a day at a time!

Back to my regularily scheduled program!

Today I was back cleaning my floors (I am truly obsessed!)

I had a doctors appointment today.  I had to refill a prescription.  My old doctor moved so I was 'trying out' the new one.  She is OK but definitely not my old doctor.  I totally hate breaking in new doctors.  They don't know you, where you have been, what you have been through.  It just sucks.  We had a bit of a chat.  Of course there was some talk of infertility.  She of course assumed that I had PCOS as I am a little on the chunky side.  That really ticked me off.  A doctor should never assume anything.  She wondered what our dx was... I told her we suffered from Unexplained IF and that was it.  Then off she went, guess my time was up.  I did get a moment to talk to her about my leg pain.   Years ago it was dx as sciatica nerve pain.  Then I was told it wasn't, now apparently it is again!   Who the frickin heck knows, all I know is that it keeps me up at night! Guess I will be contacting dr. google for some advice!

Tonight I was busy trying to get ready for my practice teaching on Sunday.  It will be my third one, I will be using part of one I have done before as I just do not have it in me to start from scratch again!

Now I need to go get some work done for one of my contracts that I am working on and hey it is only 10pm!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- loosing a great doc
- being so busy
- wishing I was better at potty training
- LOST - who can figure that show out?  Sheesh... I am watching last seasons finale again just to get caught up before I start again!  I wonder if it will ever make sense.  I have a strange feeling that this will end with a pile of questions!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- getting through a bad day with the kiddos and keeping my cool! Yey
- my DVR, how else would I ever get to watch anything
- my kids train table, I love to build new tracks for them!  When I went to the doc today I picked up a small expansion pack so I could get the tracks connected the way I wanted to!  LOL

KIDDO NOTES

Oh my, Boy2 was hitting Boy1 today.  He gets mad and starts going crazy on the poor kid.  Then the screaming started.  Boy2 was screaming because he was in trouble, Boy1 was screaming because Boy2 hit him and Baby was screaming because everyone else was.  So deep breath, then a talking to to Boy2 and then to his bedroom to calm down.  Hugs for Boy1 then get Baby ready for her nap.  Utter Chaos!  But I made it through!

After a calming session it was downstairs to play for a while.  Only a few toy fights, thank goodness... I had my computer and did some ICLW commenting, and finished off a scrapbooking page.  I had to make sure that Mrs Spider was not on Treehouse or the boys would freak.  They are afraid of the grey spider on the show.

When I left to go to the Dr.  Baby was holding on for dear life, she did not want to let go of me.  Boy2 was crying and Boy1 was giving me hugs!  I was back just as they got up from their naps.  I made a stop at the local toy store to buy some Potty bribery toys.  I do not just go buy toys very often, pretty much only for birthdays and Christmas so this was kind of fun.  I spent WAY to much, but if it works it will be worth it.  It would have been much cheaper if I wasn't trying to train twins as I had to buy 2 of everything!  I bought them each a Percy Train and the set of 2 dump trucks (one each) and a toy bunny figure and a puppy.  I told them I got them something if they did the #2 business in the potty.  Then showed them the toys.  Boy2 was jumping up and down and headed right to the potty.  He did not manage a #2 but I think it may just work for him.  Boy1 just does not give a crap.  He did show some interest but I still haven't figured out what will get that kid on the potty!

Tonight was yet another nasty bed time.  I am really at my wits end.  One of them is usually freaking out, then when we get one calmed down another one starts and so on and so on.  I really hope this is a phase that will pass very soon.  It makes me feel like I am doing something wrong as a parent, not enough attention, not enough one on one time?  To busy I dunno.  I just feel like I need to find a way to do better.

With that, good night

#137 - Another day in the trenches!

Well today was a work day!  It was exhausting today, it was really busy.  I also spent some time, in between customers, setting up our printer so that it was available from all the computers in the store.  I also setup a shared directory for copying files between all the computers too.  It was driving me crazy that nothing was networked and you needed a memory stick to copy files between computers, or to print documents!!  Sheesh.  I also got to play with our scanner.  It is awesome, you can scan a 12 * 24 page on that thing!  Schweet for those of us who love technology!

I do like working there but I am finding it really difficult not being home 2 full days with my hubby a week.  We only seem to ever get one day if we are lucky! It's good in theory to work when the hubby is home, but the practicality of it is not the greatest!  (Especially when you are trying to clean up and nasty old house!)

It was nice to come home to supper ready!  My hubby rocks (when he wants to!)

We had an unexpected visitor tonight... my parents (the mother that was deathly ill yesterday was out sledding (snowmobiling) all day).  Oh yes and apparently she was well enough to go out last night to a cousin's daughter's hockey game.  Yup time enough for the sister's kids but they show up here, unannounced, 10 minutes before we put our kids to bed.  Then they have the nerve to say that they didn't realize the time.  Oh yes then I got to hear all about what a wonderful day they had and how we should go out.  What are we supposed to store the kiddos in the trunk when we go, hmmm let me see, 3 kids, 2 sleds...  Maybe we are supposed to swallow the kids whole and poop them out later when we are done!   Boy1 is terrified of the skidoo's anyway, I told the mother that, and she told me that he would be fine.  (Cause they know my kids better than I do right!)

On to a totally different subject!
Thanks to DD at TKO I found something I need to get!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- still the house guest!
- missing a whole day with the kiddos :(

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- the greeting the kiddos give me when I get home from work

KIDDO NOTES
Unfortunately I didn't get much time to spend with the monkeys today!   Hubby had the kids outside this morning.  They had a great time outside apparently, I missed it all :(.

I am not sure about that Boy2 though,  he was so excited when grandma and grandpa got here that he wanted them to know he went potty so they were greated at the door with a boy with his pants around his ankles... just getting ready to go potty!  Apparently he isn't as prudish as his mother.  Of course I am trying to explain to him, without making it sound like a bad thing, that he should keep his pants on until he is going to go potty!   I hope he never becomes a Walmart greeter, he may get arrested! :)

Baby was all clingy to mom when I got home.  I do love her clingy moments (when I am not busy trying to get something done! :) )

Good night!

#133 - Sleepy!

I am a little tired today sooo I am going to try to get to bed early tonight.  We will see how that plan goes I suppose!

I hate when I get all stressed.  I don't sleep well and I am not very productive! Drives me crazy when I am not productive!  I did manage to do a bit of scrap booking today.  I love my new slice!

I also had a little nap with the kids this afternoon!  Hopefully recharging my batteries will do me some good soon!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- feeling stressed
- napping in the afternoon when I could be doing something.  Such as putting Christmas Decorations away!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- my new slice!  Cuts great titles for my scrapbook pages.  Although I need to load up by Cricut design studio so I can weld letters (I bet I will like that even more! :) )
- Silly Baby, she is obsessed with going around in only her diaper!  I am not sure where she gets this from?  I put a shirt on her today, (well I thought it was a shirt, but turns out it's a dress! LOL) to try to keep part of her covered.  It's 20 freaking below outside, it's not exactly a hot summer day in this house!  Strange Little monkey
- loving those Cascade all in ones!  I barely have to pre-rinse anything!  I never thought I would see that day with this crappy dishwasher!

KIDDO NOTES
It was a pretty routine day today.  Not to much new!

Baby was busy being baby.  Taking what she wants when she wants it and screeching when she doesn't get what she wants!  She was also busy trying to pull her clothes off all day?  I think she likes the sleepers off so she can get more traction, but I am not sure about the shirt thing?

Boy2 finally cleaned out the bowel today, too bad it was in his pull ups instead of the potty.  He is doing really well with Number 1 though so I am happy that is going well.  I was glad to see he got some of the 'other stuff' out though as I think it is starting to get uncomfy for him.

Boy1 was being an evil child today!  Boy2 is afraid of Spiderus (sp??) on Mrs. Spider (on treehouse).  No he's not afraid, he is terrified.  The minute the music comes on for the show Boy2 is screaming to turn it off!  Well I didn't get it off right away and of course the scary spider was on TV.  Boy2 wasn't watching, so what does Boy1 do?  Boy1 says "Boy2 look, look at the TV Boy2"!  Well the screaming started.  Boy2 was scared to death!  Poor little fella.  What a turkey that Boy1 is!   He started screaming shortly after too so I am not sure what that was about?  Maybe he felt bad about scaring his brother after all?

Sleeping Habbits...
When the boys were about 2 supper time became a NIGHTMARE around here.  They would scream EVERY night.  It used to drive us crazy!  So finally the screaming stopped (took about a year and us dumb parents realizing that they wanted to sit at the table!).  We were happy for that.  Then we took the boys out of their cribs and put them in Toddler beds - nightmare back again.  I do not like bed time at all, especially the SCREAMING!  They stay in bed but trying to get them to stop crying/complaining etc is a pain.   When the boys were in their cribs we would put them down, they would fuss a little, then when the door was shut, not a peep.  I thought we had instilled good bed time habbits when they were smaller, I long for those days to come back!  I miss the quite the moment the door was shut.  Baby is really good right now, but I am dreading putting her into a toddler bed one day! :)

Good night!

#132 - Needing some space!

Well today I went to my monthly card club.  Unfortunately my mother goes to the same one.  I am not going again just for that reason.  Tonight was SPECIAL!  She showed up and I could tell from the look on her face that it was going to be a good one.  She sits down, with a snit on her face, starts working.  A few minutes later she says she is just going to sit and watch.  She is having problems breathing so she couldn't do anything.  (One of the gals is a nurse so she asked mom if she had Asthma, mom said no.  (That's not what mom told me), then she asked her a few more things.  My mom was squirming!  It was at least entertaining for me!  She is so full of sh*t!  All she wants is attention!)  So she sat there and made sigh noises every now and again!  Oh yes then there is a cough that she remembers to do when she thinks of it.  (My kids can fake cough better than that).   After I had the boys I had some issues after and ever since then she has breathing issues.  She said it was from the air outside.  (She went ski doing all day Saturday and was fine though??)  I guess her mom never told her the story of the boy who cried wolfe!

One more thing I will never forgive my mother for.
- Ruining our last weekend with the boys before we had Baby.  She was screaming at me on the phone on the Saturday before I had her.  This is what I needed.  She was mad because she was trying to plan the child care for my boys when I went into the hospital.  Long story.  But anyway it ruined our weekend as I was so upset.  My husband took the phone away from me as she was screaming at me.   It ended up that my hubby, who was going to stay the first night with baby and I, ended up going home in time to feed the boys supper and put them to bed.  I really wanted this time for the three of us because I knew it would not be the same again.  I ended up in the hospital mostly by myself for the 4 days.  One friend came to visit and that was it.  I think Mom must have told the rest of the family not to come.   I was so sad that almost none came to see Baby.  I felt very alone, but I did take every moment I could with her at least.

THINGS THAT TICK ME OFF
- people who try to make everyone as miserable as they are
- when my house guest cleans out the stash of potty training gummy bears and doesn't tell me!
- when my house guest breaks my scrap booking chair and doesn't tell me
- feeling guilty about the house guest not having any money and needing to stay in a hostel until he finds another job.  (he had a drug addiction and is trying to stay clean and get his life back on track)

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- a good day potty training
- a day with minimal whining
- a day where I actually got a couple scrapbook pages done!
- no more house guest!

KIDDO NOTES
It was tea party day!  Boy2 was busy pouring tea for mom!  Good thing it was pretend or I would have been in the bathroom all day.  There was a lot of tea poured, I even got a bun!  Boy1 is a little stingy, he keeps the tea pot to himself (thank goodness we have two, baby got one for Christmas).  I was allowed a sip from Boy1's cup but he wouldn't pour me any in my cup!  Sometimes I wonder where they get this stuff from?  While we were busy with the Tea, Baby was busy crawling and climbing on stuff.  She was playing with her doll house then the boys said "Baby NO".  I turned around and there Baby was squished into the second story of her doll house!  Of course I went to get the camera before dragging her out screaming.  She was relentless in trying to get back onto the second floor.  I finally managed to get her to play with her Dolly instead.  I guess she wanted to climb today!

She was in the doll house in her diaper only!  At lunch I spilled my water all over Boy2.  So I took his shirt and pants off.  Well Baby decided to do the same.  She was trying to get her sleeper off and was some p-oed that I wasn't helping her.  I tried to get her to put it on but there was no changing that girls mind.  So Boy2 and Baby were hanging out in their diapers today!  (At nap time I did manged to get them all dressed again!  What a bunch!)

Boy2 is doing really well (wait let me find some wood to touch) in the pee in the potty department.  He doesn't always make it through the night, but I wouldn't expect him to just yet.  Boy1 screams at the mention of the potty still, so I am waiting it out a bit.  Man I do enough trips to dump Pee anyway so I can wait a bit!  Baby is starting to ask to use the potty when she has to poop some times it's to late but I think she is getting the idea.  I am concerned about Boy2 though as he hasn't had a BM since using the potty regularly, I hope he doesn't hold it in to long.  Yessh!

Anyway off to bed I go!

#129 - Friday already

Well I was going to continue working on the course I am  supposed to teach next week this afternoon.  The one that I have been working on all week until 12:30am.  Well instead of working on it I took a nap!  I got an email that it was canceled due to low enrollment!  Crap!  I really needed the cash after whole accident thing!  My next course isn't until late February so I guess I am going to have to find something else to generate some money!  (I have some contract work so I am going to have to get going on that!)  I am also going to start prepping for the next course I am supposed to teach in Feb so I don't have to rush to get ready for it!    It's hard to get motivated when there is scrapbooking to do!

I actually almost got one page done this morning when I was downstairs with the boys!  I was too busy playing with my Slice (an xmas gift), I cut out a bunch of butterfly's for Baby's scrapbook!  I am working on November of 2007 and hoping to get into 2008 very soon!  Yikes I hate being so behind!  I am impressed that I kept a fairly good journal though so I can write in her book and update her calendar for her first year!  I am working on my second album for her and it starts at 5 months old!  I really have a problem with photo taking! :)  I took over 5,000 photos last year (of course not all of them go into the album, but way to many of them do!)

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- not having a babysitter to go out tonight

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- my part time job.  It's too bad it doesn't make me piles of cash because I love it!!!

KIDDO NOTES

Well it seems that the way to potty training with Boy2 is through treats!  The only problem is he goes enough to fill the bottom of the potty, gets the gummy bear, then when he is done, it's back to the potty for another one.   I spent most of my time emptying the potty and watching him flush (Thank goodness we have our new septic system!)  I am exhausted just from running back and forth to the bathroom and where ever the potty happened to be.  Baby also managed a #2 in the potty today!  Yey!  (gawd that kid stinks though, so much for smelling like a rose!)  Boy1 is now sitting on the potty instead of screaming so that is good!  Although he went to do his poop business and when I asked him to go on the potty he screamed at me.  Gotta start somewhere though!  Hubby will be kept busy tomorrow when I am at work doing the potty thing!  It was driving him crazy before bed tonight!

The kids were pretty good today.  Boy1 was the PITA (pain in the arce) today, he likes to boss everyone around and when he wants something he wants it now (I think he taught that to Baby too!).  We had a pretty good day though, not to say that they were all that good, but they weren't all that bad either!  Baby sat with me for a while this evening as we have a house guest and she is afraid of him.  It's nice to get her cuddles!

Anyway I better get my arce to bed as I have to work tomorrow.  Good Night!

#105 - Barf anyone?

Yes we have yet another sick kid around here.  Boy1 finally caught the bug Saturday night.  He was fine Sunday and now he is sick again today.

I am on Day 4 of my Marathon... thinking I may actually make it through this week!  :)

I have even been managing to get a little done on my scrapbook from time to time! YEY!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- Cleaning up after a sick kid... weak stomach here!
- Waking up at 4:30am to listen to a child rocking!  Ugg!

THINGS THAT I ENJOY
- Hugs from my kiddos
- Listening to Baby say Pardon Me after she coughs or toots... I still can't believe she does that!

KIDDO NOTES
Today I was sitting at the table at lunch and Boy1 says 'look mom'.  He motions toward the ceiling fan.  'Watch' he says, as he 'throws' something onto the ceiling fan.  Then he says 'Look snow ball'.  Now I am confused?? Then he says 'look snow ball on ceiling fan'.  Then apparently it fell onto the table.  This lead into an all out pretend Snowball fight at the lunch table.  Baby was even going through the motions?  What a laugh.  We all had fun.  I am not sure where he got the 'pretend' snowball from in the first place.  We were all just sitting there eating and woolaa he just started up.  I have never had so much fun throwing pretend snow in my whole life!   Where do they come up with these things I wonder?

We had a busy Sunday with 2 kids Christmas Parties.  Dad wasn't feeling to good so I headed off with the kids and Grandma and Grandpa to go to West Edmont.on Mall.  (It's big for anyone who hasn't heard of it)  Anyway Grandpa's company rented the place for the morning.  The kids got to go on rides and they had a great time!  They went on their first ride alone, without mom.  It was a happy and sad moment, they are growing up so fast.  They don't need Mom anymore. LOL (My friend pointed out that they still need me to wipe their butts, can you tell it was a guy?)  It was something to stand back and just watch them go.  It was one of those 'moments' that one will probably never forget, the first time my kids didn't need me moment.

In the afternoon it was off to Dad's kids xmas party.  It was at one of those play centres.  There was too many big kids and they were all running wild so I kept the kids in the toddler area, they are really gental anyway so it wasn't an issue.  I can't believe how parents just let their kids run wild and do whatever they want.  One of the other little boys that was there was getting bullied by three other older boys.  I am begining to think I am to over protective or something?  Boy1 had a major meltdown when it was time to go, but Dad was so mad that he was the one that was embarrassing.  Yeesh.  Dad was feeling sick so I guess I will cut him a little slack THIS TIME.

Baby is still not walking but she did poop in the potty twice this weekend.  The first time she started screaming after she was done as it was stinky and she wanted it cleaned up.  What a kid.  Maybe she can teach the boys for me?  I SUCK AS A POTTY TRAINER THAT'S FOR SURE.  (I suck at many other things too but this is a biggy!

#65 - Still grumpy but the Kiddo's brightened my day

Today was a busy one. Managed to get a throw rug down in the basement, consisted of moving all toys and a few cabinets, then vacuuming, then moving everything back, vacuuming again (anal retentive much?). In the middle of that the gas company came to 'discuss' our issues.

Now I am just more confused than ever. Frikey frack. Now they are saying it's a different kind of pipe, and that the call-before-you dig folks missed one of the gas lines. So they have to come back again to mark the lines... ugg, and we don't know when the backhoe guy is coming now. Frick! I give up! I guess it will happen eventually?

Then it was back to house cleaning stuff. After having the furnace cleaned there is crap all over so now in addition to getting ready to go away I need to clean my house! YIPEE! So after the kids went down for their nap it was back into the furnace room to put it back together (we had to move a bunch of stuff so they could get in!)

Then it was time to clean up/file my bills and clean-out my computer cabinet so that I could actually get my computer in there!

Supper, play time, finish cleaning up, bath time, then put the kids to bed... and now I get to sit for a few minutes!

THINGS THAT TICK ME OFF
- being the middle man in a conversation that I know very little about
- trying to organize work to be done before winter
- the call before you dig folks
- not getting a chance to shower yet today... YUCK! (I better keep this short so I can have one before bed!)
- diaper rash that is hard to get rid of
- stinky diapers! GAG!

THINGS THAT I LOVE
- help with my kids (it happens so infrequently that I REALLY appreciate it when it does)
- Baby's giggle
- My kids cleaning up their toys
- The smell of a freshly bathed kiddo

KIDDO NOTES
My helper (cousin's daughter), SS, was here again today. YEY! (Hence the reason I got so much done) Baby doesn't like a lot of people, grandma included, but she like SS. Which means that I don't have to hold her as much, so I get some things done. It is also nice to make lunch without fighting/hollering kids. (My poor husband has them the next 2 days... good luck after all the attention they have been getting. I hope they aren't to bad for him)

Now tell me how am I supposed to not laugh and give the boys heck after this one?

I was in the other room with SS & Baby. I heard THE LAUGH, the one that should make me go running, but this time I waited a moment. When I hear that laugh I should no better, drop everything and run to see what they have gotten into. I do believe two heads are better than one in this case.

So I decide I better go check out THE LAUGH, SS and Baby followed. Now remember they were alone approximately 2 minutes. I walk into the kitchen to see Shredded paper flying through the air. They were on the other side of the table and had gotten into the VERY FULL bag of shredded paper. They were filling their hands and throwing it up into the air. I turned to look at SS and Baby... she said the look on my face was priceless.

Now I must admit I wanted to join in, it looked like so much fun, and I was having a hard time not laughing. But hubby was outside and I knew he would not feel the same need to laugh as I did! (stick in the mud) So of course I told the boys they shouldn't be doing this (I am sure that I was REALLY convincing too! *insert laugh here*). I told them they needed to clean it up. So they started to clean-up (which I think is pretty weird for 3 year olds, but who am I to complain), and I ran for the camera of course.

It was quite a job to clean-up, there was paper everywhere. In their hair on their socks, in my (just cleaned) computer cabinet, on the table, under the table...etc. I got the broom and the dust pan, and they took them to clean-up. They cleaned until it was all done too (weird kids I know, they eat broccoli too, must be freezer burn as they were frosties not so long ago! :) ). Oh yes and our furnace was cleaned yesterday, well the vent was full of shredded paper too!

It was the funniest mess they have made so far! It was just so hard to give them crap as they cleaned up right away when I asked them too. Sheesh what's a Mom to do?

Off to bed I go, it's going to be a busy 4 days for me!

#43 - Still Hovering on the edge

Still waiting to see if I am actually going to get really sick, or just feel like crap-o-la for a few days??? One never knows with me. If I could get some good sleep that would probably help! :)

KIDDO NOTES
I think Baby is Nuts? She has started shrugging her shoulders, we aren't really sure why? Every now and again she just starts grinning and up and down those yummy little shoulders go. Should I be surprised that she is doing weird things, here is a list of her words (in the order she learned them); Daddy, Race Car (that would be dad who taught her that one), Stinky (I guess because she is always full of crap and we are always saying you are stinky when we change her). I really must add to her list of words.

It was a little loud around here today (not in a good way). We had some grumpy boys today, Boy1 (aka sicky, snotty, etc) started out bad, then Boy2 decided to join in. When Boy2 get's that grumpy it usually means he will be sick next!

Baby is still grumpy. I guess that nasty molar that is poking most of the way through is to blame. Lets hope it is over soon! :)
