WTF?

So today was the first full day of Kindergarten... Help me out here ladies?

OK so I am new to this and most of my friends kids are way past kindergarten(K-G). But is it not supposed to be a warm fuzzy place, at least the first effing day?

Tell me what would you do?
They told me to get the kids on the bus the first day. Well that didn't go well. Needless to say we are the last stop so I had to really move to get them to school. Then we had to wait for all the busses to leave so we weren't there early to say the least. There were other kids getting their shoes off still when we arrived so we weren't the last ones there either.

So... It does take me a bit longer to get everything organized with two kids (I think the teacher was irritated). There was no one to even direct or greet the kids as they came in. Or here is a thought tell them what they are supposed to do? (I guess they told them ONCE on Monday for orientation and their job is done??).

The kids had to take their lunch, I have to send two snacks as well so I had them each in a ziplock bag, with the kids name on them. (Insert irritated aid here) Well frick I had no idea what to flipping well do I thought it worked out fine, but the kids had trouble carrying them. Here's the kicker after Boy #1 put down his lunch, I was getting ready to say goodbye. He exclaims MOM I want to give you a hug and Kiss and starts running for me. Teacher is pissed and grabs him. So what I am not allowed to say goodbye to my child because it is disrupting your 'class'... hmm it was your stupid idea to put them on the bus and that is why I am not early!

Needless to say if she didn't let go I would have gone over to him. I didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to Boy #2 as I scurried out (other parents still present by the way). She said OK I guess you can give your Mom a hug (she has no NICE voice, just condescending). So as I left I hear hear BARK (yup like a dog) to the kids "Now Colour Your PICTURES... and DO YOUR BEST JOB!" It wasn't nice at all, like I said I don't think she has a nice voice. (Who hires these people to teach our kids anyway?) I just about threw-up right there. I thought where the frickin heck am I leaving my kids, at school, or detention camp? (Well at orientation she did say she wants to evaluate the kids because there is funding available for Aids... hmmm sounds like she is fishing to get out of some work). Now there is 21 kids in the class and I realize that each child can not have individual attention, but really, its a big school you would think they would want to at least help the kids get to their classes?

Well it was everything in me not to scoop them up and get them the frig out of there, but what kind of example does that set? I flipping well moved from our old city to get out of the crap school system they have there, guess what I may have moved to a worse area? I didn't want the boys to know how upset I was so it took everything in me but I managed to make it out the door before the tears started flowing. Yes I suppose I want the best for my kids but this seems a little odd for a K-G teacher?

Well do you want to know what happened when we went to pick them up? Well the school paper work said they get off at 3:15. So we were at the school around 3pm. The busses were all there. Guess what I see the teacher taking the kids out to the bus (I guess she has to be in her car by 3:15?) So we saw the boys but they didn't see us. We stood on the other side of the busses where the couldn't see us. I thought maybe they would get on the bus for the teacher since they looked fine when we saw them. Well all of a sudden we hear them SCREAMING. Well hubby was in front and he came around the bus to see the teacher PUSHING Boy#1, trying to get him on the bus. Really now is that how you deal with a terrified child? My husband said very loudly "Hey, what's going on here?" I think the teacher knew he was pissed! The bus driver even said something to the teacher apparently. I didn't get there for that part.

So the bus driver was trying to help us as it was a few minutes before the gr 1 through 12 kids got out. Hubby walked on the bus with the boys just to get them used to it. In the mean time K-G teacher looks at The Girl and says "You have another one?". No we stole her from some other parents picking up their kids you idiot. She also says "They were Screaming as soon as I mentioned bus in the class room". Well WTF do you want me to do about it? They are scared you stupid cow. I tried to talk to you about it but you weren't listening! She told me they are loud... no sh*t? Then she said to me "I was surprised they made it through the day after the way they were in the hallway this morning". Duh Chase was fine and you weren't in the hallway this morning. She said "I thought I was going to have a day with them". Well you didn't did you? I don't think she likes kids that cry!

So anyone recently experienced a first day of K-G are the kids supposed to do everything with no supervision the first morning? I feel like my kids are at a disadvantage because they didn't go to day care?

I don't know what to do... Boy#1 is saying he doesn't like the bus and why did the teacher try to push his brother onto the bus.... Hmm guess she had a go at both of them, we only saw one? Boy#1 also told me a bigger boy was trying to mush him (push him) on the bridge at lunch. Boy#2 held it all day and didn't go potty... that is just heading for a disaster with that teacher I am sure...... Do they really watch TV in K-G? The boys got to today? I am not sure what to think of all this I wish I had a K-G teacher to talk to? Am I just an IF nut gone crazy??? Should I move them to another school. I am beyond myself and this is just day one.......

#368 - How Pathetic

Well I am hoping everyone had a marvelous New Year's celebration.

I have been working all day and I am still working at 12:30am (sad and pathetic I know). Hubby went to bed at 10:30pm. I really wanted to get this course finished LAST year, but I guess it's to late now! I might as well put my sorry arce in bed now! (At least approximately 92% of my course materials are ready now)

It was a craptastic evening to go with my craptastic day. Hubby had a shore shoulder today so he was in a foul mood all day. Take some effing Tylenol and cheer up! He was barking at the kids when I was trying to work so I was trying to keep the peace. Then he felt a little better and he was in an even fouler mood as he didn't get anything done today. Lets just make everyone miserable then dear. On the bright side, it won't take much to make the start of the New Year a little better now will it?

Happy 2010!

#328 - Woohoo

House Pest IS GONE... and he is NOT EVER coming back!

I went downstairs to tidy up... (Not a good way to start the day!)

The spare room has my grandmothers old bedroom suite. Nothing fancy but kept nice and very meaningful to me. I kept it covered with doilies and stuff to keep it from getting damaged. Well the jerk that was living here pushed my stuff to the side and totally ruined the top of the dresser. He left water and pop cups on the dresser that were (spilled on the way to the basement and must have been damp still) on the dresser. There is water damage and pop damage to the top of the dresser and night stand. I am so incredibly mad it sure as hell didn't look like that when you got there. And it's not just a small cup mark... it was like he slammed them down and crap went all over and he just left it there.

There was pop 'circles' and water circles all over any piece of furniture in the bedroom. He actually damaged the dresser and the night stand. I am so incredibly hurt that he couldn't leave things as he found them... and to continue marking it up after the first time just pisses me off. There was about 10 large marks on the dresser and tonnes on the night table.

The mess that was left was not very nice. I am not even going to describe the bathroom. Lets put it this way... hubby has to clean it as I am NOT going in there again until it is cleaned up.

On Sunday when I was at work hubby was outside working with the kids. He said every time he was in the house (which is frequently with kids that need warmer coats/potty breaks etc) the house guest was eating and eating and eating. It's a good thing I was around the kitchen most of the time or I am sure he would have eaten everything else that was in the house. Now I don't mind sharing but I think him just taking what he wanted whenever we weren't looking was a bit uncalled for. It's not like we were starving him that's for sure. Hubby figures he gained at least 10 lbs in the last 3 weeks.

It was weird how he used to come up at night.. then go down, then come up and so on. I think he was just waiting for me to go to bed so that he could get into the cupboards. (Good thing I outlasted him most nights) One night he woke me up going through the pantry. I seriously would NEVER do that at someones house! (Personally after the 3 helpings of supper I thought it was a little over the top)

I suppose the thing that pissed me off the most is he would eat all but a little of the milk and cereal in the morning and some days I didn't have enough left for the kids. He knew what they eat for breakfast so I thought that was incredibly inconsiderate. He used to get up before me I guess so that he could take what was there before I had a chance to get the kids breakfast. He was going through a loaf of bread every two days, a tub of butter a week, a jumbo bag of cheerios about every two days, a box of my cereal about every three days, we were having problems keeping enough milk in for the kids, he would go through a case of pop in 2 days (if we were lucky), he was taking big bags of chips out of the cupboard and we would never see them again, he ate most of the turkey hubby made for thanksgiving, on Sunday he ate almost a bag of buns, and he got into my case of popcorn. He just helped himself one night. Hubby said he heard him go downstairs the minute he got out of the shower one night and he could smell the popcorn. You think he would have at least a)asked (we never once said no) or B) shared some with the hubby. We figure we were spending an extra $100 a week on groceries while he was here, he even managed to eat most of our 'stock pile'. He was even going through the extra stuff in the basement taking stuff out of there to eat.

Over a month here... probably about $600 in groceries.. and not once did he offer to get any groceries for himself or give us a cent. I hope he enjoyed is 'vacation'. Hmm I don't think I have ever taken a vacation where I didn't have to pay for food, laundry, and accommodations. The scary thing is if it wasn't for Hubby he would still be here!

I am so angry that we had to put out money on groceries, power, etc for an ungrateful jerk who ruined my grandmothers dresser and made a mess of my new bathroom.

It was interesting to see my hubby's reaction to all of this. He is some kind of angry (and not even because he has to clean the bathroom! :) ). After all was said and done it was interesting to me that he started in about the fact that he had a child (with a trashy woman about 13 years ago I think). Hubby says "why the h*ll can he and she have kids? That poor child doesn't have a chance". It is very true, the kid has 3 brothers/sisters, everyone has a different father. The latest man of the house is not very nice to him by the sound of it. Well it was interesting to me that hubby was disgusted by the fact that this guy pro-created. He can't even take care of himself.

So that is it with the house Pest. He has burned yet another bridge with us... sorry dude you are on your own from now on. (Now if only we could get the 4 hockey bag size duffle bags out of our garage. He dropped those off too... great!)

With that I must be off to bed it is very late... I do feel like a weight has been lifted off now that House Pest is gone so I am hoping for a good night sleep.

Good night and here's to another Pest free day tomorrow! :)

#325 - Wednesday Already?

I really don't know where time goes these days? I sure wish I could slow it down a bit though!

Today I was off to the Dr. for a prescription refill. So I decided to ask about the H1N1 flu shot. She said I should definitely have my 4 year olds immunized. There has been so many things out there about this flu shot that I am really not sure what to think. So after talking to her (she is an expert right?) I figured that I should probably take the boys in for the shot. Then tonight I was at the twins club meeting and one of the girls checked out the ingredients.... one was thought to cause MS in lab rats and another was linked to some other horrible thing that I can't remember. So really how tested are these things? I thought most drugs had to go through years of testing and trials. I just don't know what to do? My kids could die from H1N1 or they could get sick or who knows what down the road from the immunization? I want to protect them from getting sick but I just don't know what is the best option. It seems like there are so many differing opinions what does one believe? I am terrified of making the wrong decision and I don't know how to make an informed decision anymore... who does one listen to?

House Pest Update
I was all excited I thought the house pest was going to the city today and leaving for a while (hopefully forever). He was wondering when I was going into the city. Well with the snow I wasn't going into the city. (I think there is 2 inches of the nasty white stuff on our drive way tonight... I want fall BACK!) Anyway back to the house pest, apparently he just wanted a ride to the bottle depot. I am not sure where, but he collected a bag of bottles. (I don't know what he needs money for, not like he buys ANY of his own food). So unhappily I report he is still here and we still don't know when he is leaving... if ever? Here is the kicker.... today I was sitting with the kids and he arrives upstairs with his shower stuff. He brings out a bottle of my Lavender body wash I had stored in the medicine cabinet in my bathroom downstairs (I have no room to store my extras anywhere else in this house). He says I ran out can I borrow yours. I was actually speechless (that doesn't happen very often, trust me!). I wanted to yell "Stay the Heck OUT OF MY STUFF". Instead, I said, Oh that's my favorite. He said OH, well I have some in my bag but it's in the garage (yes on top of taking over part of my basement he has 4 or 5 other duffel bags of his shit in our garage). So I gave him the key to get his own out in the garage. I think he is just a little to comfortable here? NO BUDDY what's mine is not yours... sorry!

First he wakes me up before 7am rummaging through the kitchen for who knows what, since he ate with us this morning? Then he GOES THROUGH MY STUFF. Are you frigging kidding me?

So my husband and I have resorted to texting each other to bitch! So sad. (I have a habit of saying the wrong things when someone can hear so I haven't really said much). I didn't realize my hubby was as pissed off as he was. He doesn't understand why he isn't looking EVERYWHERE for a job. Not just through his union, which doesn't seem to be helping him out at all anyway. Not to mention that he has to have a camp job as he has no where to live and he doesn't have any wheels so it has to be close to somewhere too.

You would think by this point he would have the sense to get out of our house? I guess we have to be crabbier or something. Granted he wants to help out, but helping doesn't do anything for the food budget dude... go buy what you need, you don't have to share with us, at least feed yourself.

To think I thought he was going to be here for the weekend... that was over a month ago!

KIDDO NOTES
Man I love those little buggers! Makes me glad I fought so hard and keep trying IVF until we got lucky! I had no idea that life could be this good. It is so going to suck when they go to school I am going to miss their little smiling/grumping/whining/complaining/cute little faces! They will be with their teacher more than me... how sad! Seriously where did the time go?

#324 - Arrggg...

OK I am trying to be the bigger person here and help out hubby's friend, but really I am ready for him to leave now. I suppose I would be OK with him staying if at least he would buy some of his own food from time to time. The first week he was here he didn't eat anything... let me tell you NOW he is eating us out of house and home. I suppose the quitting smoking thing isn't helping (and man am I glad he isn't smoking right now or I would have gone batty by now. I just can't handle the smell of that stuff). I think he has just made himself a little to at home now for my liking. I feel like I am ranting like a spoiled child but really I am trying so hard to just smile and be nice... really my hubby is only working 4 days a week dude I really wasn't wanting to spend my little extra work money on filling your belly instead of putting it toward some things that desperately need to be done around here. It's been just over a month now, no work, no input into his own food intake... he does try to help out all he can... So I pray he gets one of his camp jobs very soon so that he can leave for a while. (and to think I was missing his visits! Be careful what you think of you never know what could happen)

Unfortunately kicking him out just isn't an option for us, he has no where else to go. So I really need to step up and just deal with it. Maybe some Karma points will be in my favour some day? Although I suppose grumping about it will reduce the value of the Karma points! :)

I just wish I had the nerve to tell him to eat in the Kitchen NOT in the bedroom! Our basement stairs are sticky from pop and schtuff that has been dripped on the floor... great more floor cleaning to do. So help me out here... I need some of the strength of you blogger wonder gurls to help me get through this! :) (Oh yes and wish the dude some luck to get a job!)

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- house guests that seem like they are never going to leave
- winter weather in the fall
- psoriasis out breaks YUCK
- mornings (still you think I would be over this by now?) :)

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- getting some stuff cleaned up around here
- planning the paint I am going to purchase for the boys room tomorrow! I am going to start with one wall (the black and white checkered flag wall... then go from there. I figured get the hardest one done first then the rest will go much easier! I can't wait to get started
- getting organized to scrapbook on Saturday

KIDDO NOTES
Well the kids weren't quite as crabby today after their late night Sunday night. They are finally getting back to normal crabby instead of extra crabby! :)

I have been working with the kids to put away a toy when they decided to move onto a new one. (When all three get going we are talking MAJOR CHAOS in the matter of minutes!) It's finally working with Boy1, now I just have to get the other two to get on board. Boy2 has been really bad a cleaning up in general lately so I imagine it will be a bit of a challenge to get him going on this one. Baby just yells NO to everything and takes off! (She is a smart one that one!)

Tonight before bed Hubby was laying on the floor while I read them a book. Then Baby decided that she wanted a Horsey ride. She was trying to get the hubbs to get up on his hands and knees so she could go for a ride. Before we knew it both boys were on Dad... his poor back. Then Baby decided mom could give her a ride. She fell right off, and was laughing away. Then somehow I ended up with Boy2 grabbing on to my shirt and digging his knuckles into my back (that wasn't the fun part! :) ) and Baby holding on to him. She was holding on to him around his arms instead of under them, it looked so funny. (We have mirrored closet doors in the kids rooms... Mirrored doors suck with small children in case you are wondering! :) ) When I was 'done' hubby had to come and rescue me from the kiddos on my back, the knuckle digging was not making the ride enjoyable. Then I proceeded to lay down on the floor. Baby decided she wanted me to sit up so she grabs my arm and starts pulling... Exclaiming "Mom HEAVY" (Thanks dear). She then wanted to 'jump high'. So I had to toss her up in the air and catch her. I think I completed my work out tonight! We were all laughing so hard it was a moment in time that I would like to freeze forever...

And now I am back to sorting through photos... I need to print them so I can scrapbook this weekend! :)

Good Night

#317 - Really now do ya have to visit?

Well the house PEST is back. I was not happy to find him in the garage drinking and smoking. (We finally got the smoke smell out of the garage after the previous owner... and our nice cars are in there getting all stinky.) As non-smokers I find the smell a little hard to take. At least he took the booze outside, not that I am against booze but this is a dude that can't handle his, not to mention his previous drug addiction. I personally think that booze should be off his list too. Hubby knew I would be pissed I suppose so he never said anything to me. I told the House PEST that he is welcome to stay but not to bring booze to our house again. (Did I mention that when I picked him up he had also been into the booze and was a little loud an obnoxious for my liking, I could have SWORN I told him not to EVER do that again when he was coming out to our place. I really hope that he continues to get his 'sh*t' together... and this is not all a waste of our time and energy trying to help him out. It's just so sad that he can't seem to catch any breaks these days. The dude does have a black cloud following him around. Lets just hope he isn't here too long! :)

Oh yes and my other visitor. The one I really want to kick out... my flipping anxiety attacks. There isn't even a good reason for them after the mostly awesome weekend I had. I was really hoping that one day I could get off the meds for Postpartum depression, but every time I try to get off them I seem to get really bad really quickly. This is my third try and it just isn't happening. The worst part is that I am on such a low dose that it really shouldn't make that much of a difference... according to my new family doc (no comment).

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- See above!
- People that have no respect of other peoples time.
- People that think they are better than you because you work in a retail store part time

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- knowing that the anxiety attacks can be stopped
- sleeping in

KIDDO NOTES
I didn't get enough time with them today. :( Hubby tells me they were pretty good. Sadly Baby Golem didn't come to visit tonight! Instead she was replaced by a howler monkey that didn't want to go to bed.

Good night... in bed before midnight tonight YEY!

#304 - Are you kidding me?

My husband just doesn't get it! His annoying behaviour today lead to me still working until after midnight!

I CAN'T DEVELOP a course DEAR while I am watching the KIDS so that you can go outside and do whatever the friggin heck it was that you were doing!

To top it off he was miserable all evening even though he got to do what he wanted. A little help here would be nice MR man. He just doesn't get it? When he is HOME I need time to work on this stuff without a pile of interruptions. I let him do what he wanted all weekend and still tried to get as much done as I could! Now where does that leave me up have the effing night.

Can you tell I am a bit grumpy? :)

He gets home at noon these days and goes to bed at 9pm so he can get up early to go to work. MAYBE he should go in a little later and get some gosh darn rest so the rest of us don't have to put up with his snarly attitude almost every night! Then add some close to record breaking temperatures and a nasty man I have here. He makes me feel like I shouldn't be working when he is home and the kids are up because he doesn't want to do everything. Some days marriage is a wonderful thing isn't it?

Anyway he will be going to work soon and I need some sleep so I better be off to bed and try not to wake the beast! :)

Good Night... lets hope tomorrow is a better day!

#294 - Taking a break!

Ok so it was back to work today to clean up some computer stuff. I managed to get our receipt printer working, but now the font size is too big and it is not fitting on the receipt paper. NO IDEA how to change it. Driving me CRAZY! I was so excited that I got it printing and NOW I can't get it to 'fit' on the paper! So I am tired and sick of the darn thing so I am not touching it until I go in again on Friday.

Now I hope to sleep tonight... major panic attacks when I go to bed at night... very annoying/frustrating.

I am taking a break from all things work related until the owner is done with her vacation since we can't do anything anyway! UGGG and she is not returning calls as she said she would. I must admit if it was my store I wouldn't have left on vacation until I had the inventory mess all straightened out! Whatever not my store, not my worry!

#293 - Are you kidding me? and other stuff!

So today was a work day. I knew I was going in for some fun today as they phoned to warn me one of our computers was 'down'. (Which equates to one of our tills)

Sooo... try to find a floppy disk to update some files. HA HA HA! Then try to copy our system files from another computer to CD... guess what the 'broken' computer also has a broken CD drive. GREAT. Go get our receiving computer from the back. Start hooking it up, guess what no printer port (gotta love USB's). Phone hubby to see if my old lap top happens to have a printer port... nope. Get receiving computer setup (without cash drawer or receipt printer, hmmm kind of pointless!) Attempt to get one of our other receipt printers working (usb style). HA HA HA This printer is a label printer, owner bought it thinking it was a reciept printer! (Not to computer savvy that one!)

Finally after 3/4's of the day get the stupid computer printing to our other receipt printer for our other till. (Great both tills print to the same printer!) Did I mention that printer is almost illegible... hence the purchase of the two other printers that ended up being label printers. Are you still with me? I think I am getting confused.

Anyway got everything working, then decided to type up a note to the rest of the staff. (a half hour before close). Our laser printer at the tills NOT working either. Are you kidding me? Drag another printer from the back, hook it up and get it working so we can cash out. Get it working about 10 minutes before close! (Oh ya and the power cord wasn't long enough so I had to find an extension cord too!)

So that was 7 hours out of my day.. how about you! :)

Oh as for the other stuff... it seems as though my panic attacks are coming back. They come out of the blue and really aren't tied to anything stress related? Arrrrgg... Maybe they will have to increase my medication. I am so bummed!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- windows

#271 - I need some toothpicks

I am so freaking tired... and the in-laws will be here on Thursday... and I still need to clean my house... and hubby is still not helping. Well he did wash the truck today??? OK dear what about the house?

I am totally stressed now as I am trying to get prepared for inventory at work. I just got a call to make some changes to the system I built and setup a spreadsheet for other data collection. Then there is the whole getting ready for the in-laws to come over. I asked my mother to help out with the kids today so that I could get some stuff done, but she had to wash wine bottles. (She used to go and CLEAN our neighbors house when their family (not related to us) was coming to visit. But she won't even watch the kids for me for a couple of hours so I can get some cleaning done. She will go and help EVERYONE & ANYONE else and the TELL ME ALLLLL about it after. But when I need help she is too busy.

So wish me luck trying to get this place cleaned up. I am so embarrassed to have visitors here anyway this place is not even a 1/4 the house we used to have and it needs so much work it feels kind of dumpy to me. No it feels like a total dump to me :(. I can still see all the dirt that we cleaned up before we even moved in. I keep trying to see what all we have accomplished, but it's like a pig. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. :( (It's a good thing I like the yard and the location or I would be totally miserable... I keep thinking some day it will be better but it will never be our other house. It's like finding your dream house and wishing you could move it with you, but then you have to leave it behind and move into a nasty house)

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- stress
THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- sleeping in

KIDDO NOTES
Boy1 said when we are out of pull-ups then he has to wear big boy under ware... and way he went. He was peeing in the potty the very next day (this was on Sunday). He still is having pooping issues though... ugg. I am doing a lot of laundry these days. Boy2 is doing awesome but there are way to many trips to the potty, he tries to go every time his brother does. (I found the ultimate

Baby is embracing the terrible twos, can you say whine and cry? Good thing she is cute or we would definitely have to eat her! LOL

#266-Are you kidding me?

I am so ready to throttle the hubby. We have 24 people coming over on the weekend and the house has been in need of cleaning for some time. (I guess my jobs aren't full time so I am the only one available to dust and clean?) Well I have been busting my butt this week trying to get the entire house cleaned (and it's a deep clean this time). I also needed to find my phone and clean the kids toys.

I have found the phone (which of course led me to more work, it was in the couch cushions. When I took the cushions out of the couch I was horrified at the stuff in there. YUCK! Considering we never eat in the living room there are some weird things in there! Raisins, rice crispies, parts off of xmas gifts (apparently I need to de-cushion a little more frequently) So of course then I had to take all the cushions off and do the vacuum thing. Can you imagine how horrified the MIL would be if she dropped something and had to go digging. Sadly there was no money in the couch though. :( I have decided that Hair is going to take over the earth once humans are gone. The bits of hair under there was crazy and I am usually in my chair so how does my hair get over and under there? I know it's mine as I am the only one is this house with really dark, almost black, hair.

I never did get the living room finished... gee i wonder why?

So anyway back to the house cleaning. My hubby is so freaking busy doing the basement bathroom he couldn't even lift a finger to help get ready for the guests. His parents aren't here for a while and I told him I have Sunday off so he could have done it then!

So now I have a house finish cleaning and he will be too busy tomorrow because he has to mow the lawn. I suppose I would just be annoyed as he doesn't clean the way I want it cleaned anyway.

Off to bed it's late and I am tired! :)

Good Night

#256 - Oh brother!

Well today was interesting to say the least (hmm... never short of topics to blog about I suppose! :) )

- My friend with the Kidney's that are failing spent the evening 'drunk' dialing and/or texting me. Great! First of all I gave him sh*t as he isn't supposed to be drinking anyway. It also drives me crazy that he talks way to much 'smack' when he has been drinking. I tried to be very careful in my words as he is really having issues dealing with this whole Kidney failure thing. I felt like I was walking on broken glass (hey wasn't there a song about that! 80's rock! Boy do I get side tracked easily). He has an appointment tomorrow so I am anxious to see how that goes. I asked him if he needed someone to go with him, but he said he was OK. I sure hope that's the last time I ever have to talk to the guy when he's on 'booze'!

- Oh yes the whole work thing. Three of us planned a meeting with the owner of the store that we work at. We planned to meet her off site (so as not to start the gossip train). There are some issues but we were very careful to be 'politically' correct. No blame etc (years of working with clients in the consulting industry has done well to teach me how to Dr. Phil the important conversations! LOL). Well later this evening one of the gals that works there and met with us phoned to let me know that the owner had apparently told one of the other (entitlement generation) staff. Who of course told someone else... you get the picture. So much for trying not to cause trouble. I seem to always get the brunt of all the crap around there from the 'other' staff so if this causes any issues I think it will push me to the 'get the eff out of there I don't need this crap' phase of this job. I don't work there to make money that's for sure so if it's going to become an annoying place to work I am sure as heck heading for the door! (I probably should quit anyway since I seem to have way to much to do anyway... but generally speaking I do like it there) In the mean time poor hubby had to take all three kids to the hairdresser. (yes my hubby can be the biggest arce out there but he is truly amazing too! I sure as heck wouldn't have attempted that one!)

- oh yes I also managed to 'break my wireless' network today, which cause a change to my ip address, which messed up my server! Fricking heck! Anyway I have it all setup now so I am not going to eff with it anymore! :) Still loving my Apple wireless router... it's awesome! (It's the idiot user that causes to many issues!) But not all was lost I did learn a few things today. Why is it one has to totally frig something up to learn something really good??? :)

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- feeling like crap. I was trying to get some stuff cleaned up in the basement today and I started to get weak and thought I was going to throw up. Yuck! I am not sure why when I teach I get so freaking exhausted? In addition my little breathing issue has come back. It comes and goes from time to time. They can't seem to figure it out. I actually will be just sitting and all of a sudden I gasp for air? I am pretty sure it just some weird muscle thing, but it is annoying nonetheless. It all started after I had the boys. I have been through so many tests all with no answers. Well it's not really doing anything but being annoying so I try to just ignore it.
- people who can't keep their mouth's shut... see above. As a business owner she should know better!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- hubby telling me that the kids were good when they got their hair cut!

KIDDO NOTES
The boys were way overdue for hair cuts! They look sooo much better!

Potty training has returned to it's usual state... poop in pants instead of the potty! friggen heck! What a frustrating bunch! On the good side baby asked to go potty this evening. We sat in there for a while and nothing happened but at least she is trying!

Off to bed I go! Working tomorrow night so I better get some sleep.

#254 - OMG write this one down!

Well my mother FINALLY showed up to look after the kids while I taught today. I was sure she would call in 'sick' about 9pm last night. For once I am actually surprised by what she actually did, show up when she said she would! :) She was more miserable than a dude who just cut off his 'member' when she arrived in the morning. I think she does it on purpose just to TRY to ruin my day. I said good morning twice before she decided to acknowledge me? WTF? Well anyway I didn't let her get to me and I just headed off to work.

Oh my dear Martha I would like to thank you for your last comment (and everyone else too! :) ) something you said has really made me think. "Your mom is so clueless, if it wasn't such a burden on you, it would Almost be funny." Well let me tell you she is definitely out there on the ridiculous side so I am going to spend my time trying to see the funny side of the things she does. This way at least I will get a laugh or two and not so stressed over the stupid crap she pulls! Humor, I like it!!! So tomorrow when she gives me the nasty sneer I am going to think about Scary Movie or maybe Night Mare on Elm street, when Freddy was getting a sense of humor! :) Hmm... she actually looks kind of like Freddy come to think of it... but a lot fatter! :) OK I am just evil tonight! :)

We got a call that the inlaws are coming to visit in July. This means my hubby has to get his skinny butt in business and get the bathroom finished downstairs and I need to get my fat arce going and get this place at least presentable! I am looking forward to the visit I find it much easier to be in our own space instead of invading theirs. It usually takes me about a week to adjust to their invasion, it always seems that when I am getting used to them they leave. I will finish my last course for the term on the Monday before they arrive. I am glad there isn't much prep involved as I will have to clean the weekend before they come. Well at least beat the big huge dust bunnies back into their corners! :)

I am halfway done my latest class, that means a total of 5 more working days this term. (Man when you put it that way it sure doesn't seem like much work now does it!). I am really enjoying this class, I have a really great group and I have had a bunch of folks that have really been happy about some things that they have learned. They think I am great??? (Hmmm OK I have the fooled! :) )

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- people who cut me off in rush hour then slow down. THEN they proceed to SPEED through a construction zone! I speed from time to time but I believe that we should all SLOW down in a construction zone. Those are brothers, father's, sons, daughters, etc working out there, if you can't wait 5 extra seconds to get to where you are going you SHOULD HAVE LEFT EARLIER! OK I am done with my RANT now (road rage much?)
- Frost in JUNE... there was freaking frost on my windshield this morning? What the heck is up with that! (Yes I realize that I live in Canada, but contrary to popular belief we don't ALL live in IGLOOS. While we are on the show issue, NO I DO not have CHAINS for my tires either! LOL)

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- little smiles
- little hugs
- my new Airport wireless modem arrived in the mail today! I got in on sale for a good deal. I plugged it in and hooked it up (and turned off the wireless on the crappy gateway that I have) and woollllaaa it was working. NOTHING PC ever works for me the first time! I am MC loving my MAC stuff! (My only issue was I was assigned a new IP address which of course mucked up my server. But I was able to fix it fairly quicly! :) ) I am also happy to report I have not dropped my wireless connection once since I hooked it up! (I am not even talking about the issues I had with my gateway that I had... the gateway is a Modem/router/wireless router that was provided by my ISP in case you were wondering. Only problem is it is a piece of crap and the wireless never worked properly. So I solved my problem by getting a new wireless router!) So to make my very long story very short. I am happy that I have functioning wireless NOW!!!

KIDDO NOTES
The kids were sooo tired today that BOY1 fell asleep in the chair before supper. Baby and Boy2 greeted me at the door when I got home, but no Boy1. I guess he was to tired after being outside with Dad this afternoon! It sure makes it easy to get them to go to bed when they are so tired. It's nice now that they are a bit older they don't go into the MELTDOWN mode like they used to. They do get crabby, but not as much noise is involved.

I sure do miss the little creatures when I am at work!

Good night!

#253 - A organizing I will go!

Yipee the spare bedroom is almost cleaned out, the garage sale 'crap' is almost out of the bathroom! Next job hubby is to put in a new toilet and put a sink in as well. Wohoo! Even better we can now get into the bathroom to flush the toilet as the water was getting disgusting! Well I thought it was the toilet but it turns out it was from the sink drain (there is no sink just the drain and there was no water in the pipe so yucky stink was filling the basement! That's gotta be healthy! Well hubby fixed it tonight!)

It looks as though my mother may actually come and look after my kids while I work tomorrow! I left a big mess in the basement (mostly empty boxes!) and I made it so she couldn't see into the spare bedroom, the bathroom or the storage room. She keeps asking me if I am done yet? WTF? The shelves weren't even in the storage room and she was wondering if I had everything in there yet. Needless to say I was a little bad today and made sure that she couldn't see what I have done. She is so bloody nosy it drives me crazy. Then she was on my about the garage sale we are going to have. I said we aren't going to be ready for June so I am going to wait until late August. She said they have plans to go camping so it doesn't work for her, so I said what weekend and I will plan around her. Of course she couldn't answer because she is lying again! Then she said that she needed my course schedule for the fall semester. She said she can't help as they are going away in September (first it was for their anniversary, then it was for a week, now it's for three weeks apparently). I have 3 classes in Sept so I am sure she will make sure she is gone for the entire time. Most people would want my schedule to work around it, she only wants it so she doesn't have to come and watch the kids. Did I mention they NEVER take their holidays in September!

I am still trying to find part time care for the kids, it is not going well. Anything not to ever have to ask her to help out!

Well I am tired tonight so I better be off to bed so I am awake for my class tomorrow!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- my mother!
- cold sores (i haven't had one in about 7 years! Ugg)
- early mornings
- my mother! LOL

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- Getting my basement closer to being cleaned up & somewhat livable!
- Getting closer to not having to move things from one room to another then back again!

KIDDO NOTES
Well the monkeys were really good today! Boy1 was playing with the vacuum in the basement so I said he might as well turn it on. He did the entire floor and he did a great job too! I am going to have to let him 'play' with the one upstairs too. Maybe if I get both my vacuums going the kids will have this place spic and span! LOL

I dug one of my old 'toys' out for Baby today. It's my old 'walking' doll from when I was young. Baby had a great time with it, although I think she was a little freaked out by a Doll that was her size. Boy1 took a liking to her as her eyes shut when she is laying down and they open when she is sitting up. Boy1 was busy playing with Baby and the Doll on the bunk bed that was hiding in the back of our spare room. (I found the floor in the spare room and the kids liked the bunk beds in there!) Boy2 was busy between checking out the TV and what everyone else was doing. I found some old toys that were from my grandparents house and I gave them to Boy2 while Boy1 was playing with his sister.

Boy1 had fun with them for quite a while before Boy2 decided to enter the picture. They were really good though, no fighting over any of the 'new' toys! I was happy!

I spent the afternoon building 'stuff' with the 'new' toys I dug out! The kids had a blast! (So did mom!)

(potty training still sucks! :) )

Good Night

#252 - Balloons

Well it was a fairly productive weekend. Hubby got the shelves finished in my storage room and I got busy and started loading, poor guy wasn't even done and I was busy loading them up! I am not going to get quite as much 'stuff' in there as I had hoped but I will manage to be able to actually get stuff out of there without emptying the entire room like I had to before. Plus I will get most of the extra crap that was hanging around in the spare bedroom in there too! How exciting! Who ever new that a larger storage room could bring so much joy!

I also managed to get some mowing done today... I am using the smaller tractor right now as the big one is waiting for it's mulching kit. I don't like the smaller tractor as it 'spits' crap everywhere. It's so dirty. It's a bummer as it has a great turning radius, but one just gets to freaking dirty riding around on that thing. Uck! Oh ya and I took my IPOD out to listen to it and I guess I was dragging the ear pieces around on the ground and managed to make a mess of them :( They still work but they are a little scratched up! Arg!

After all the good stuff this weekend it doesn't explain why I am having a panic attack this evening. I suppose it's because we also got some sad news yesterday. Our friend that I have referred to as our House Pest. The guest that we had trouble getting rid of. Well he called the other night, I don't have all the details, but apparently both of his kidneys are failing. It sounds like he is not willing to go on dialysis so his doc said his days are numbered. He has no family support and he just seems to have given up. I pleaded with him last night to let it all sink in and go on dialysis but he doesn't seem to listen. I am very sad.

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- family get-togethers
- wind
- getting dirty

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- cleaning up more stuff in the basement
- having another weekend off

KIDDO NOTES
The kids were pretty awesome this weekend, they let us get some stuff done and I also spent some time with them too. They had a good time outside playing this morning too. They are so tried from being outside that they do get a bit crabby from time to time but that's to be expected.

Boy1 is really getting bad a bossing the other two around. It is driving me crazy but I suppose it's just another stage. He still refuses to use the potty, we are talking SCREAMING refusal, not just a grumpy old NO. Stubborn Much?

Boy2 is doing fairly well on the potty, sometimes I think he has accidents just because his brother does. Must be a twin thing?

Baby is now asking to go potty. She isn't doing anything yet but it's a step in the right direction. It's hard to believe she is almost 2. I can't bear the thought of not calling her Baby anymore. :(

Saturday night we took the kids out to an anniversary party. I was pretty much disgusted with my family as they pretty much ignored us. I could care less about the hubbs and I, but it made me sad that no one was interested in my kids. I guess they aren't babies so no one cares. They were all dressed up in cute outfits and I don't think anyone noticed. They were also perfect. I was so proud of my crew and they were pretty much ignored. There was a few people that said hello but it was truly sad. I took the kids out to be around other people and they ended up on their own anyway. We had supper and left I was so digusted. We made our own fun with the kids though. There was helium balloons there and they each had one. It is amazing to watch the wonder of a child with something new and interesting.

Baby would just grab the balloon and let go, then she wanted it back again. It was cute in a very annoying way! The kids each took a balloon home, baby decided she wanted to hold hers. Of course she popped hers! I was offered a few extra I guess I should have taken some. The boys still have theirs so I feel bad that Baby doesn't have one.

It is amazing to see the way they interact with the balloons. They sure have imaginations! We even had them hooking up to their cars - hook trailer up they would say! :)

Here's to no more family occasions any time soon!

p.s. Did I mention my mother bent over backwards to help out? Speaking of people that I am disgusted with!

Good Night

#246 - So much to say...

OK so much to bitch about is really what I should have titled this post!

- Monday it snowed... hello mother nature it is SPRING here not winter? Or did I fall asleep for to long? What a lovely day for the end of a Long Weekend. This traditionally is the first major camping weekend in these parts, there was a fire ban due to the fires we have been having AND it was snowing! LOVELY!

- I am teaching today and tomorrow, so my rotten arce mother called at 8:30pm on Monday night to let me know that she won't be able to come on Tuesday because... wait for it... my DAD is sick. He has flu like symptoms so she had decided that it has to be the swine flu because she looked it up on the internet! Hmm the last time we were in Mexico I was 11 years old, that is some kind of long incubation period! (Oh and Dad isn't allowed to do anything but work and no one at work has even been sick, so I am thinking that it is probably due to the effing migrane that he had on Sunday night?

- Once again my mother cannot help out tomorrow... because my Dad is sick and she can't leave him home alone for a few hours (did I mention that my husband would be home at 11am to relieve her of her duties anyway?) The man is sick, I am thinking that he won't be out of bed until about noon anyway? She is just to effing lazy to drive out here... it is at most 20 minutes from their house. I am impressed by the fact that my mother has more excuses than I ever thought was possible, just when I thought she couldn't possibly top the last one she comes up with another one!

- My search for an actual babysitter is totally sucking right now... I need to find one before September as Grandma is useless and I would rather not see her in the morning not to mention EVER! Why the heck can't people just be happy instead of being miserable just for the sake of being miserable?

- I got an email message on my phone from my other job. The 'weekend' gals all go together and 'filled' in the weekend schedule for June. (The gal who is doing the 'fill' in scheduling SUCKS! So under the direction of one of the owners we decided to fill in and see what works for all of us. The 'fill' in scheduler has been asked several times to switch between Saturdays and Sundays. So for the last 2 months I only work Saturdays... it was starting to piss me off to say the least). Well today I checked my voice mail on my cell phone and guess what. Fill in girl said she changed it as I (it should have been 'we'... it wasn't a solo job here) miss a whole bunch of people (that would be her (who only works one Sunday a month) and one of the owners, who doesn't want to work every weekend anyway!) Needless to say I didn't talk to her I phoned the other Owner and mentioned what we had done under the direction of the other owner. She was quite happy that we had done this and said if 'fill' in girl has an issue she will straighten it out with her! I guess I am ruffling feathers and I am not even trying. It has been my experience over the years that folks that don't like to work hard dislike those who are hard workers anyway! So whatever girly, when you want to pick a fight you better pick on someone who hasn't been around the business world almost 20 years more than you have! (frig now I feel old too! :) )

- Where do you sit when you attend a class? Why is it that the most annoying people always go to the back? Never do they sit at the front (at least not in my classes). I usually sit near the front (I guess that means I am a keener?). It drives me crazy when people 'gab' when I am talking then they don't have an effing clue what we are doing. If you would shut your trap and listen MAYBE then you know what we are doing. When others are talking I usually STOP and wait until it's quiet, If they don't get a 'clue' then I ask if they have a question. Two of the gals at the back are having issues following and one of them doesn't want my help, she told me it makes her nervous. She wants help from her friend sitting beside her that doesn't have a clue what she is doing. *insert me going cross eyed!*

*this is where I let out a big sigh after getting that all out*

So to end with the GOOD STUFF!

Hubby finished the mudding(as in drywall mud), sanding, and cleaning up the storage room in the basement on Monday (two days off together in a row it was a treat!). He did this while I played with the kids... umm that is fell asleep on the couch in the same room as the kids! (I was really tired after all the outdoor work on Sunday!)

Hubby went into work really really early this morning got in 4hrs of work and was home in time for me to head off to my job. THEN he managed to get two coats of primer on the walls in the storage room (while all 3 kids played quietly for him??? I am so jealous!). I got home, he had supper started, then after supper he headed back to work so he could get in 7 or 8 hours and get home in time to have a little sleep before the kids get up in the morning. Am I lucky or what? (disclaimer, yup he still can be an acre too he ain't perfect! LOL) I really don't know how he does it. I told him not to get too tired and if he had to leave early he should do so as I don't want him driving in a fog! (I am not sure that he ever listens to me anyway!)

One more coat of paint and we will be ready to build the shelves in the storage room and start putting all the 'crap', errm, I mean stuff back in there! The shelves will probably take a while, my husband it a bit weird with the cut/measure thing, last time he made me shelves they fit perfectly in the closet. I am not even sure that he had to nail them in! :) Hubby figures the new storage room is around 100 sq feet so any extra junk that I have should be put in the garage sale I figure! (Actually most of that 'stuff' should probably be cleaned out. I am really trying to clean out and I have done pretty well so far... I just have to keep trying!) Man if someone told me 20 years ago that someday I would be excited about a storage room I would have laughed my butt off! How things change?

I also made use of some of my Holiday Monday time, when I wasn't napping that is, to do some more organizing in my scrapbooking stuff! I think I may actually have everything about where it is going to stay (for now anyway!). I had paper in so many places and I was keeping all these teeny tiny little pieces so I thought it was time to clean out! I recycled most of the tiny pieces, I filed away the bigger ones, that were actually useful, by colour in my 'bits' folders. Now all my paper is in the same place, and let me tell you do I have paper! The good thing is that I use it. I have completed close to 100 pages since the beginning of March. I am getting much better at using things up. I used to save things I liked for another day 'just in case'. Now I just use it because I have a few buckets of bits of stuff I never used because I was just saving it for who the heck knows what!

Once I am caught up to the end of December in my daughters book it is off to work on my son's books and get them caught up as well. That will probably take me a little longer. I have a bit of an organization mess to deal with as I didn't quite finish things off the way I like to before we moved in one of the Boys books so I Imagine that will be a bit of a challenge! I will let you know how that goes! :) This will probably be PROJECT DRIVE MYSELF CRAZY! Some day I will be caught up! That is my hope anyway!

My hubby thinks he is quite funny, usually when I go off to work the kids come to the window and wave. Well I leave before they get up in the morning so I look in the front window and there hubby is kneeling in the window waving! What a great way to start the day with a good old belly laugh!

So have you ever had toys go missing and wonder where the heck they went? Well hubby found out today. When I got home he had a photo on his cell phone to show me. He told me he pulled some toys out of the couch. I was kind of looking at him like he was nuts, I said "I know, I do it all the time". He said NO you don't! Then he showed me the photo. Half the couch was covered with toys. Stuff that had disappear a while ago and we couldn't find. So apparently our couch EATS toys? Hubby said that he was almost up to his shoulder pulling stuff out from under the sides of the couch! I usually just pull the cushions off and take what I can see. I so would never stick my arm way in there who knows what yucky things are lurking down there! LOL! Later that evening he told me he thought we needed to give the couch a c-section (only a man would say this!) and put a slit in the bottom as he figured there was more stuff hiding in there! Hmmph and I thought it was only the dryer that 'ate' stuff!

Good night!

(p.s. I am also excited that I didn't have to do any prep work for this course! YAY! What a nice change!)

#234 - What a way to start a day!

A while back I was talking about a 'friend' that I was doing a birth announcement for. See here if you want to read about my first rant!.

Well anyway I did what I thought was a nice announcement considering her daughter was 11 months old. I also made her a Christmas card that she never used. Well today I received an email from her. It wasn't nice. She was complaining that I didn't change it for her and that she has been waiting patiently for months. I told her up front that I was done and that I had no time, but she didn't care she kept bugging me. Anyway she said she wanted to 'stick up for herself' for a change. WTF that was supposed to mean I will never know. Needless to say I responded in a direct way. It wasn't rude but it was factual. Usually I like to be politically correct but I was not sugar coating anything. I was pissed off to say the least. I must have shook for an hour this morning.

Well of course she felt the need to respond to the email I sent her, I on the other hand can't be bothered. I am not getting into some email p*ssing match. Whatever chicky-poo I have better ways to spend my time! Like poking my eyeballs with sharp sticks! One thing I have learned is that people who stress me out don't need to be a part of my life. If only all my friends weren't as cool as my bloggy friends!

Unfortunately I got nothing done on my course today as I was so annoyed that I couldn't concentrate. I am really behind, but I guess there is always Sunday to catch up. I did manage to organize some scrapbooking paper this afternoon before I headed off to work at least!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- grumpy hubby
- friends that send you a b*tch email instead of calling
- hearing of another loss in Afghanistan. So sad. :(
- we set a record for low temps last night... lovely

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- getting away for the evening

KIDDO NOTES
The kids have really been good the last couple of days. The whining does kind of make me crazy though, it makes me feel like they were bad when really they weren't. It's weird how I can handle tonnes of screaming, but the whining just sends me right over the edge instantly. Boy#1 speaks pretty much only in whine. I suppose given how easily their dad get's frustrated it explains why he gets frustrated really quickly and starts whining (plus he is 3!) LOL.

I have been trying to do fun things with them and I always try to let them know how much we appreciate when they are good. Parenting is definitely a challenge, I guess we all just do the best we can.

Well that Boy#1 was up to his goofiness today! His brother had to use the potty and I told him to go and I would be right there. Well Boy#1 decided he would 'take care of it'. He told me he would go with Boy#2. When I got in there Boy#2 said "I am pooping". Well Boy#1 said "Boy#1 Happy when Boy#2 poops in potty". His eyes got really big and his face was animated. It was quite funny. We always tell them that it makes Mom and Dad happy when they do their business in the potty. Mr. Man thinks he needs to 'help out' around the house I suppose! LOL

Good Night

#230 - Another weekend gone!

Where do they go? The weekends that is? I would like to slow them down a bit!

Well I worked all day Saturday then my mother decided that she wanted to bring a friend over to see my scrapbooking stuff today. I asked her to come over Saturday night instead since Sunday afternoon would be the only time hubby would have to work on the storage room. Well of course only Sunday afternoon would work for her.

All she did was effing sneer at me anyway. Her friend was sitting in front of her so she could sneer away. She thinks she can control what I say if she sneers! Really it just irritates me and makes me want to say more to annoy the crap out of her. I am an adult I really wish she would leave me the heck alone. It's like having a censor following you around. Let me tell you she didn't leave early enough. (Oh and since there was snow in the air she wouldn't drive so Dad had to drive her and we had to wait until he could come pick her up) What a freaking waste of the only day my Hubby and I were off together this week. Arg

So I got nothing done today!

I passed the 10 thousand photo mark on my camera today, hmm no wonder I have so many photos in my scrapbook.

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- yes my mother is on this list yet again
- not enough hours in a weekend

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- when my mother leaves!
- scrapbooking
- my camera
- my Mac
- looking at all my photos

KIDDO NOTES
Well the kiddos were pretty good today. Boy2 had on real underwear today, he did really well until the evening (which is usually his bad time anyway). Then we had a couple of accidents. My hubby was being a complete ass about it and he needs to act like a grown up. Poor boy2 was really upset and hubby went off on him anyway. As if the kid didn't feel bad enough already. I was so mad I couldn't even say anything to him tonight. Between that and the comments he fires at Boy1 because he doesn't want to sit on the potty I really want to kick his *ss! No one should ever talk to my kids like that, especially not their father. He is soo good to them unless they misbehave... I just can't stand it when he gets mad at them. He would never hurt them but I know how much words can hurt too. Maybe I am just overly sensitive due to my parents yelling and screaming? I just don't want my kids to ever feel like I did. I don't know what to say to my husband to make him GET it. Any advice would be helpful if you have any.

Oh ya then there is the whole Fut thing. Baby walks around here saying Fut (the "F" word) constantly and the boys too... hmm I wonder where they got that. (One guess it wasn't mom!)

Frustrated and sad off to bed I go...

#223 - Why do I bother?

So I found out a friend who I have known since I was 13 was moving a province away. Well due to some issues with his girlfriends fathers electrical business. (I guess you would call her more than a girlfriend since they have 2 kids together, but who knows? Looong story). Well I decided to reach out and say good luck with your move. I Emailed my friend not the girlfriend, but apparently now SHE replies to HIS emails. (Good thing I was all politically correct!) Of course she was not so nice about things. I was just hoping to make contact with my friend but now I know that was a bad idea. I will probably never see him again so I wanted to say Good Luck at least before he leaves (he will need it with the chick he is 'attached' to. I try to be nice and what happens I get sh*t on.

This friend always knew everyone and had tonnes of friends... since he has been with the gal he is with they have all pretty much disappeared. It is sad to see someone who was such a good friend just disappear from your life because of someone in their life. Oh well he picked her and he has to live with her. I guess he has changed over the years, I suppose we all do, some for the better, some not so much. It is making me a little sad that this is the end of such a long friendship... I hope he is happy where he is moving to. (This is also the guy that announced their PG by saying, "WE WIN". He knew we were going for fertility treatments and a couple months before we had a failed cycle with the last of our frozen embryos. I guess I shouldn't be to upset! :) )

I wonder who is going to pack their stuff for them? Last time they moved we helped them, the only friend that helped them as a matter of fact. Oh ya and most of their crap wasn't packed so guess what else we did? (They knew they were moving for 3 months so it wasn't like it was a last minute thing!) Did I mention that they couldn't be bothered to help us when we moved, they were too busy. Hmm I guess I shouldn't have bothered to contact them anyway, seems like it was a one sided friendship to me?

I don't know where today went? It was a busy one (Aren't they all though ladies?)

I did manage to get the rest of my course completed tonight, exercises and all! Now I just have to get my freaking printer to work! Arrrrg! Me and wireless just doesn't seem to work!

Hubby was a complete *ss tonight and I am ready to kick him. He is so freaking grumpy sometimes I would like it if he just stayed in the garage. We didn't even speak after the kids went to bed (Probably better or we may have fought!) I think he is starting to stress about his job so I will cut him some slack this time.

One thing that drives me crazy is when we are trying to get something (we=hubby by the way!) done he doesn't always use his time wisely. He was more concerned about washing the kitchen floor (the only floor he thinks needs to be washed apparently?) than working on the storage room. He knows I am busy all day tomorrow and working on Sunday so it's tonight or nothing dude! I guess I just get something in my head and when I have a chance I just GO. I know that there is very little GO time so I utilize it when I can. He drives me crazy when he wastes precious time!

Scrapbooking tomorrow... all will be right in the world! LOL

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- grumpy hubby
- the fact that my storage room is going to probably take another 2 months to complete! :)
- guys that hook up with nasty women and don't let them be who they really are (you can never be happy if you are spending all your time trying to please someone who can't be pleased)

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- sleep
- my iphone... I love that thing
- I got an award from Martha... now I just have to get organized and do something about it! :)

KIDDO NOTES
The kids were pretty good today and I was in a better mood too (hmmm maybe I am the problem LOL). Boy2 even asked to go potty 3 times today! He almost made it through the day but he had one accident in the evening... so close! Boy1 actually used the Potty successfully once today. This is going to take a while I think!

We took the kids out to our local trade fair today. I wanted to look so we took the triple stroller so I could look and not worry about kids escaping on me. The comments drive me crazy, I guess when you have a triple stroller you have to expect that. I don't like being the center of attention so the stroller drives me kind of crazy. I suppose when I take that I at least don't have to worry about anyone running off! The local gymnastics club has a setup for the kids to try out and it was really quiet. The kids all had fun. Usually Boy2 is afraid of new people and things, not today, he was right into the whole gymnastics thing. Boy1 wouldn't go until he saw Boy2 having fun. It was a role reversal today! What a pair!

Baby oh that Baby... screamed getting into the truck, screamed getting out, screamed getting into the strolled, screamed when we left the gymnastics place, screamed in the stroller, screamed getting into the truck.... I think you get the picture. She HATES getting into the Truck. Oh and she discovered that she can scream even louder if she really tries... OH MY! Well at least she was perfect in between the screaming episodes!

Oh my mom was coming to look after the kids so we could go to the trade fair. Ya that never happened. She got 'sick' today! Oh well it's good for them to get out anyway!

Well I better get to bed, it's past midnight

Oh ya and I have decided to try twitter... see my sidebar!

#213 - Stress is...

... the desire to choke the sh*t out of some idiot who desperately deserves it! (nope not the hubby today)

So I am starting my quest to find a part-time in home sitter for my kiddos (good luck with that one!) I am so done with the SH*T that my mother seems to have following around her. She calls me today to tell me that she may not be able to look after the kids on Thursday (hmm... sounds EXACTLY like last week!) There is always an excuse with her, she has to have drama with everything. WTF does she think my Hubby can walk out of work whenever SHE feels like it! Like last week, some close relative died and the funeral might be on thursday. If they are so effing close why the eff have I never heard of this person in my entire life? She lies so much she forgets that I used to live in that god forsaken house and I would know if this relative was ever mentioned OR not!

Well they were supposed to come see the kids this weekend, but they decided to go to a "good" friends funeral. Which is fine other than the part that I have never heard of this person, ever. So don't effin lie to me about how well you know this person. Then they went and got groceries to help someone out who NEEDS help. (Oh ya what about when my hubby went to see his father after his father's heart attack. Home alone for 2 weeks with 4 month old twins, they lived 5 mins away, where the eff were you then). What about your effin family you miserable mean b*tch. (No I am not Angry at all! LOL) Then she asked what WE got done this weekend. Well let me see I worked on Saturday, so that means hubby got nothing done, and well I was home sunday but we didn't get much done then either (I didn't mention Hubbys mood to her!). I said we just need some help a few days to get a few things around here done. (Like the program that I am trying to write, 2 hrs at a time. If I had two bloody days I could finish the effing thing!) Sure glad she is retired and LOVES to help OUT! Well everyone but me that is. Not like she is any help when she comes over anyway! It's like she has done to me all my life... THROW things in my FACE. Then if I was to say anything she would just yell at me anyway! Then she told me we shouldn't be doing any reno's anyway as we are supposed to spend time with the kids. WTF do you think we are doing, we only work when they are sleeping so that's why we don't get anything effing done!

I am so done with her sh*t. I have decided that I am going to find other child care then I never have to ask for anything and I will also reduce the stress in my life! Strange that someone who spent 11 years saying "I am NEVER going to have any grandchildren" can't even be bothered to take some time out of her weekend to see her own grandkids!

OK that feels better! Now if only gravity would stop holding that woman on the planet! She thinks she hates me now, just wait until I don't actually need her help. Then I won't have to be nice even after she doles out all her sh*t. Now I am being nice as I need the work.

p.s. at least hubby was out of his mood today! phew!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- ya I think you figured that one out today... if not see above! LOL

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- knowing that I am not going to take this crap anymore. I am going to do something about it

KIDDO NOTES
It was pretty quite around here today. Boy1 was sick all day. He is such a good kid when he is sick, he even makes sure to have a bucket to get sick in. My little sweetie pie. He must have been feeling much better at supper as he was really eating a lot (yikes) and he was barking orders to his siblings.

I was sad today, then Baby spent most of her day at the back door crying Daddy. Then she fell off the couch and banged her head (more of a scare than anything, not even a bump, phew). So I pick her up to cuddle her, what does she do? Yell Daaaadddy. OK so now mom really feels like crap!

We had a breakthrough today. I caught Boy2 making the POOPY face! So I did the Grab and Run to the 'big boy potty'. Well of course the poopy face was gone. So we sat, and sat, and sat, the phone rang and I had to take it, so dad sat and sat. Well then, from the other room I heard a splash. We had lift off. I figured if we could get him to sit there long enough it would eventually have to come out! Theory worked tonight! He is the one who usually does all the liquids in the potty, so maybe solids now too? Wooohooo Do the Potty Dance! (We put this on and Hubby and I joined in. Baby looked at us like we had totally lost it. I think the boys were trying to ignore us! LOL

I must be off to bed. Trying to have somewhat better hours since I am teaching this week.... Good night
