#203 - Friday!

Well back to course prep again today! Getting ready to teach again next week. It won't take me as long but I still need to do a few things beforehand! I work again tomorrow so that should keep me out of trouble!

I managed to get a few extra pages done in my scrapbook today. I went downstairs for a while tonight, when I should have been doing other things of course!

Hubby started the demolition in our storage room tonight, so that is on it's way too! I will be glad when that is done! There is just never enough time is there?

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- my tiredness has returned, arg!

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY
- my wireless has been working for two entire days! :)

KIDDO NOTES

Baby is into 'drive mom crazy mode' full time now. She climbs up on the train table when she thinks I am not looking. When I tell her to get off she won't. Then she says 'bad baby'. So I haul her off giver her heck and 10 seconds later she's up on the table again. Then repeat! The evil little grin she gives me lets me know she knows she is being bad. It is a great game apparently! She does keep me busy these days!

Boy1 was acting nutty all day and driving his bro and sister crazy. He wouldn't leave either one of them alone. I wanted to throw him out in the snow! LOL. (yes we still have 2 feet of it and we got another 2 inches or so this morning!) Boy1 actually had a pretty good nap this afternoon, I guess he pooped himself out with all that bro/sis bugging! Of course he didn't want to go to sleep at bed time!

Boy2 was happy as Bob was on today! I am sure that kid would watch TV all day if I would let him! Good thing he hasn't figured out how to turn on the TV yet. He did well since he was getting annoyed by his brother most of the day, he did manage to steal some of Boy1's snack so I think he got him back a little!

It was crayon day today. Everybody was colouring, even Baby. They were all really good, except Boy2 has decided he likes breaking the crayons and tearing the paper off. Which would be OK but no one will use them once they have been stripped and broken! :)

Off to bed I go! Good night!

#167 - Stuff... and where did my Phone go?

Today was a pretty quite day. Hubby had the day off for Family Day. He was in one of his 'moods' today. It is so hard to get work done when he is like that. I feel like I have to keep the kids from being bad and try to work. I am sick to death of feeling guilty when I try to get work done. I have to teach a class this week and I need to be ready. Sometimes I wonder about that man. I am just feeling like I need a rest. Between trying to give him time to himself, and trying to keep the kiddos entertained and trying to prepare for a course and doing some contract work. When the heck does he expect me to do my work between 8pm and 1am every night? I think we are heading for another 'discussion'. Which of course goes no where. He just gets mad and leaves the room and won't talk to me. I generally enjoy his company when he is not in his moods. But I just never know how long and when.

I did manage to get through most of Level II today. Now I just have to review some things for the class that I am teaching this week. Level I. I have never taught this class before so it should be interesting. I am usually so over prepared that I don't really worry much about getting through it. The tone of the class usually just depends on the people in it. I have 19 folks registered though, that is big. I am not looking forward to that part. Oh well it's not until Thursday.

THINGS THAT BUG ME

- a pissy man (that would be the husband)
- feeling guilty for working during the day

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY

- A good friend came over for supper
- Bed time!

KIDDO NOTES
Well the monkeys were in pretty good cheer today.

Baby has been a little grumpy since yesterday as we cut her off the bottle cold turkey. (We cut the boys off at 1 year but it was a pain in the but, so I decided to wait a little longer with Baby and I am glad I did). With the boys we went through several sippy cups before we found one that they would use. With the girl, we just gave her one and that was that. I think she was less impressed by the milk. I ran out of frozen breast milk. (if I ever see a breast pump again I think I will run for the hills! LOL). I meant to kind of wean her off of it, by mixing with more milk, but I forgot! Duh! Well anyway she was a little annoyed at first but she seems to be OK with it today. Yet another step towards old age! :)

We are still struggling with bed time with the boys, but the struggles seem to be getting shorter most of the time. Thank goodness. I am glad that it is getting easier and hope the trend continues!

Oh and the POTTY BLOG. I think we may have had a breakthrough with Boy2 this weekend. He actually asked to go twice today and he actually went. So maybe he is on his way with Liquids now too. Boy1 is doing fairly well with Liquids too. I am trying to get them to use the big potty as much as possible so that I don't have to 'clean out' the little ones. YUCK! So I guess our next hurdle is the solids! We are on our way now, some day we may actually not have to buy diapers/pull-ups around here. What a concept! Something to look forward to!
SUNDAY
I was busy trying to get ready for my course and keep the peace around the house. Hubby and a friend were gone most of the day to go cut firewood. Lucky for me the folks never did show up!

KIDDO NOTES
Baby decided that today was a good day to steal moms phone... Where did I find it? In the 'downspout' of her House toy. I had to call it to find it as I had no idea where to look! I had the ringer turned off so I sent the boys on a mission to find my vibrating Iphone! My hubby was out cutting fire wood and I missed his call. I am surprised one of the kids didn't answer it! LOL (I have a passcode on my phone for a reason... Baby thinks it's a toy! Sheesh)

Rotten Kiddo day! It was a challenge keeping my calm today let me tell you! I know that they have been bad before but when all three of them were screaming at the top of their lungs for different things I really wanted to A) Join IN B) Bang my Head on a hard surface or C) Run very far away. Instead I just spent a lot of time breathing deeply.

Now I need to go to bed!
Good Night!

#165 -Sleepy

Hope everyone had a great Valentines Day.

I think the hubby liked the gifts from the kids, the cards that they made. I got nothing, not a kiss, not a card, nadda, nothing. *sigh* I was hoping for chocolate at least. Oh well I got hugs from the Kiddos so that will do!

It was a good day at work today. The gals I was working with were lots of fun and hard workers! We had some great customers today too. (Bonus the mother came over when I wasn't home!) We even manged to get out of work on time today!

THINGS THAT BUG ME
- missing a day with the kiddos
- my mother

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY

- A good day at work
- Long weekends

KIDDO NOTES

Baby was a little crabby this evening, but it is amazing how much easier it is to deal with one crabby baby then two. When the boys were little I remember just looking at my hubby and waiting for bed time when the boys were crabby. With Baby, you know she will eventually move on and stop crying for a while and stay that way for a bit. With the boys it seemed like it was one or the other. Twins may be double the fun but as I say they are 4 times the work! (Good luck Nadia S!)

I don't mean to sound like I am complaining I would not change my family for anything. I just feel like the boys sometimes got and are getting kind of jipped. We try so hard to give them each their own time but it's not the easiest. We really need to work harder on that, but right now they just don't like to be apart at all.

It will be interesting to see the way their relationships develop over the years. I hope that I can help them be understanding and loving of each other as they grow. I wish there was instructions on how to do that! :) Growing up as an only child I never learned how to develop relationships with a sibling. It should be an interesting challenge.

Potty training is pretty much not going forward, but it's not going backward either so I am happy with that.

Tomorrow is just me and the kiddos, Dad is going out with a buddy to get us some more firewood for our stove in the basement. I am hoping that the mother doesn't show up tomorrow.

Good night

#31 - You have got to be kidding me

Today was a low key day, I had a visitor and the kids love her so it was a good day. I am really tired for some reason. I guess I need to get to bed a little earlier. I was also doing some consulting work this afternoon (one of my three part-time jobs). In the future I really must start getting to bed before midnight I suppose?

KIDDO NOTES
My daughter is a little nutty I have decided. She is deathly afraid of bubble gum. Yes if you chew gum she gets nervous, but if you blow a bubble she freaks out. I was holding her and I blew a bubble. OMG the poor thing was terrified, she was even shaking. I was holding her, so she grabbed on tight and turned her little head as far as she could. She wanted me to hold on to her yet she was terrified of the gum. I took it out of my mouth and showed her that I was throwing in the garbage, then did the fear factor, look into my mouth thing.

She had to go spend some time with dad for a while to get her calmed down. I can't believe she is afraid of bubble gum. (Well Boy2 was afraid of the wind for the longest time so I guess I shouldn't be surprised! :) )

----

I was trying to think of cute names for my boys in this blog but nothing really came to mind except Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Cat in the Hat. Because they are kind of like thing 1 and 2. Getting into trouble together etc. So anyway I decided to stick with Boy1 and Boy2 (kind of like the thing1/2 thing!) Yes now you know I am crazy and see where the kids get it from as I ramble on! :) Then for the girl, baby is just Baby around here so I figured I would just go with that one. Poor thing everyone around here calls her Baby, I wonder how long that will stick for?

Good night and enjoy your bubble gum, just not in front of my kids! :)

#17 - Happiness is...

Happiness is...

-Three wonderful children after years and years of infertility
-Being brave enough to quit my job and stay home with my kids
-Enjoying our new yard
-Feeling free now that I have quit my career
-Being broke! :) (Goes with the quitting thing)
-Scrapbooking my kids photos
-Meeting new people in the new area that I live
-Moving forward
-A good friend or two
-Finding a part time job that I actually like (even though it pays more than 3 times less than my last job! :))
-and last but not least loving my kids

KIDDO NOTES
It's amazing the way the boys take care of their sister. They are amazingly gentle and kind and they worry when she cries. They sometimes take her toy but always go get her something else. I do worry when they put her pretend lipstick on, but better now than when they are 20. (Although I would love them anyway if that's what they chose) It's amazing everyday to watch them grow and learn new things. One of the boys tries to repeat everything I say. He tries so hard even though it sometimes doesn't come out the way he hoped.

Supper has become more interesting now that they speak some form of English. (Some days it's not the form I understand but we try.) It's funny to sit at the dinner table and see what they have to say. I love it when they tell dad to sit down and eat, or make their funny faces and laugh those great belly laughs! I hope that they will always find happiness.

I hope they always eat their broccoli and other vegetables when they get older!

#9 - I need a nap after that weekend!

Well I worked at my part time job on Friday night, quite enjoyable I must admit. A couple of hours with adults is so nice!

Saturday was a busy day. Mowing and doing stuff around the yard. The boys were happy to play outside and take 'baby' for a ride in their gators. And enjoyable visit with a friend and a weenie roast over the campfire was a great end to a great day.

Sunday... oooo Sunday... Inventory at the store I work, 9am until 1:30am. Now you know why I need a nap!

KIDDO FUNNIES
On Friday night my hubby said that the little one was stealing cars from her brother and butt scooting away as fast as she could. Every now and again she would turn back to check to see if Bro was there, adding a giggle of course. When she got herself into a corner she tossed the car back and took off with another giggle. All the while bro was saying 'No Baby... No'.
