Sick....

I am sick to my stomach. As I was concerned that I may be laid off when I got back to work I got all my drugs for this cycle. What I didn't realize is that as I took an extra month leave my benefits were all cancelled. It was on my leave form but I missed it. Now I am going to have almost $4000 in drug bills that I have to pay for because I got them 3 days early. I am beyond ill. I have no idea where I am going to find that much spare cash. I can't believe how freakin stupid I am for not seeing that on the leave form, had I of realized I would have got the drugs for Sept 1st.

P.S. God if you read blogs please give me the strength to get through the craziness in my life and help me to not be to exhausted so I can be a good mother to my little ones.

Oh Soralis..I am so sorry to hear this. You are not stupid--it can happen to anyone, it's an honest mistake. Hang in there.

Soralis, that sucks. Did you get them from the clinic? I know the clinic usually refuses to buy back drugs but seeing as how you are willing to then buy them again, might they not consider returning them for you and then selling them again?

I hope it works out.

Oh Soralis - What an awful thing to happen. I hope you can figure it out. You will find a way, you know. We always do, somehow. xx

Well, that does suck. I'm sorry S. I just read your post before that also. You are Primary IF, just because you have twins(via IVF) now it's still primary IF honey... I have a whole lot of respect for you for caring enough about the ones still in the trenches for working out your appointments with your Aunt. You are a wonderful person.
Praying this cycle goes well for you my friend!

I wish I had the magic light bulb answer for you, Soralis. I don't know if God reads blogs, but I sure hope he makes an exception in your case.

Oh no, that just sucks. And it could happen to anyone! Where did you buy the meds from? Maybe you can tell your story to someone there and convince them to return and then re-sell to you so that you'll have a post-Sept date on the receipt?

i'm sorry and i hope it works out for the best!!

Jee-SUS. That BLOWS. I'm so sorry.

You should raise some money through your blog. Remember that girl who did it in NYC, SaveKaren.com? She raised money through her web site just so she could pay off her credit card bills because she was a compulsive shopper! Not only did she get all the money, she got a book deal and a spot on the Today show.

Set up a paypal account, and link it to your blog and ask for money to help. Everyone makes a mistake like this, so my bet is people would contribute. I bet you'd be surprised...(it would also bring attention to the issue of rising drug costs)

Soralis that just plain sucks. Any chance of doing a return/exchange on paper only? That way the meds would be covered?

This is exactly something I would do, don't beat yourself up over it.

How awful. I know it might be embarassing to ask but the pharmacy might change the date on the prescription.

can you return them?? then get them again on a different day or even return some of them??
the pharmacy may agree if they know you will "buy" them again immediately!!

Ugh. That is awful! I would beg to return them!! I would! It's worth a try.

And God knows what you're going through. He hears you. I pray that all will work out for you.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm doing some research right now and will let you know if I get anything published on the subject - soy and infertility.

Shit! Over three days? That's just the epitome of beaurocratic crazy. Unfortunately, the exact type of crazy insurance co's are so good at.

Hope it works out for you.

Soralis, what a shock. I am so sorry to hear about the drugs. I agree with krista, the clinic will understand and be able to help you out since it is only a matter of 3 days. Good luck.

I am so sorry. Can you try to find a sympathetic soul who could straighten that out? It's more a clerical error than anything. A very costly one, but maybe a fixable one?? It can't hurt to ask.

I just tagged you Soralis, the details are on my blog.

Cheers.

PS. Again, I am REALLY sorry you got shafted over 3 days.

Oh that's horrible! What awful luck. I'm so sorry- Don't beat yourself up...this could have happened to nay of us. Is there anything you can do? Sell them and recoup some of the costs? and then re-order now that you have coverage...boy am I bad for suggesting that! I really hope it all works out....

Many hugs- Faith
