Irony...

Do you think it's a sign that I am done? I figure I would be be done with this journey if I ever got to see the two lines. So I am cleaning out my bathroom cupboard yesterday and I find my negative pee stick from my last FET. Well low and behold for the first time ever a pee stick with two lines is in my house! (Now I know why those things have time limits!)

So now I wonder... is this a sign that I should give up? Or is it a sign of things to come? I have always leaned toward the side that ALL pee sticks are evil so maybe it is time to give up on ever being PG again.

It was kind of cool to see two lines, I just wish it wasn't on an old used test! :)

I am still waiting for the wave, it's still off in the distance, maybe it won't come to shore this month? (I really need to learn to surf!)

Quote of the day
The advice of friends must be received with a judicious reserve; we must not give ourselves up to it and follow it blindly, whether right or wrong.

I am always looking for "signs" trouble is I never know how to interpret them.

I hope the wave dies out before reaching shore.

Wow! I didn't know pee sticks could do that! (Have two lines appear after some time).

I didn't know that could happen either. That would certainly screw with my head!

That would definitely mess with my head!

You save old pee sticks? Hmmmm. . . never thought of that - except one time. I wanted to save the one that said pregnant and show it to my husband when he got back from his trip that weekend, but PREGNANT disappeared within ten minutes. Darn! Ah, it was a miscarriage anyway.

I guess they have time limits for a reason. I am constantly looking for signs too, but like Beagle I don't ever know how to interpret them.

I hope that the wave stays away.

Ah, reading the signs.

I like to think of them as meaningless in themselves, but interesting insights into your own state of mind (depending on how you choose to interpret them).

We IFers put far too much stock in signs and superstitions. How can we help it though? I almost had a panic attack the first time I didn't wear my kokipelli earrings since IUI day.

I'm going to go the positive route and say it was a Sign that you will see the double lines yourself.

But, I will say, I hate those pee sticks.

I'm hopeless with sign interpretation. But I agree with the previous few commenters - if it's a sign of anything, I'd take it in a positive light.

Freakin pee sticks, I hate those bastards... They haunt you even after a damn cycle.
Like Beagle said, I hope your wave dies out before reaching shore or you do learn how to surf, I would be willing to take lessons with you, lol.

This whole IVF thing is going to make you look for signs. There is just so much that is uncertain in the process. If you think it is a sign - well, maybe it is. Only you can decide if it was!

I hear ya on the sign thing.

Wanna know something funny? I took pictures of my pee stick from this pg.... and ran out to get a digital so I could get a picture of the "pregnant" too. I think I just wanted all the memories I could have because I don't know if I will do this again.

In my experience, sometimes it takes a while to actually determine what the sign means and other signs will usually confirm one or the other.

I hope you get a clear picture either way.

It is so true that with IF one is always looking for a sign, a reason, something that gives us hope.

I hope that you do what your heart tells you to do. Good luck.

wow time expired double lines! your right it is a sign, for you it may well be different but for me it would say, Jennie you need to clean your bathroom draws more often :) I'm no help in the sign department as you can see I just hope whatever way you read it is how you need to read it, and I'm glad the wave is still a ways off.

Can people who read tea leaves also read old pee sticks? It's hard not to look for signs or to be superstitous. I bought some fertility dolls in Zimbabwe when I was there on business, I thought they might help. I would carry them everywhere I went as soon as I started a new cycle, but they didn't seem to be working. After a while I started to call them my infertility dolls and left them at home. I hope that your pee stick was a sign of what's to come.
